My main priority is pet care and family. I keep a short list of errands and appointments throughout the week, most of which are flexible and scheduled around your pet’s routine. Because of this, I ask clients to be mindful of their scheduled drop-off and pick-up times. I want every pet to have a safe, fun, and comfortable stay—like their own little vacation away from home. I strive to be fully present for each pet and to provide the best possible experience. As of July 2021, Rover has implemented more time-sensitive rules regarding boarding rates. To remain compliant with these policies, I aim to stay as close to the agreed schedule as possible. I completely understand that unexpected delays can happen, and I kindly ask that you communicate if you’re running behind. I will do my best to accommodate delays, but cannot guarantee flexibility if I have other obligations already scheduled. I’m available for drop-off as early as 6:00 AM and pick-up as late as 9:00 PM.

Safety, trust & environment

For dog boarding and doggy day care, I have a large, fully fenced yard as well as a smaller fenced area within it. The smaller fenced space serves multiple purposes and is ideal for smaller dogs, dogs that are uncomfortable around larger breeds, dogs that prefer calmer play, or those who enjoy time away from a more energetic group. Inside the home, I use multiple baby gates at designated areas to prevent door darting and to ensure a safe, controlled environment. If your dog is crate-trained for bedtime, I have plenty of crates available—no need to pack one. Pets are also welcome on the couch. I provide attentive, structured, and loving care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. Pets in my home are treated like part of the family and cared for in a calm, supervised environment. Daily care includes feeding according to owner instructions, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection and enrichment. Each dog receives personal attention, whether that’s active play or one-on-one cuddle time. I maintain a clean and comfortable space, closely monitor behavior and health, and follow any special routines, dietary needs, or medication schedules. Safety, consistency, and positive interactions are always a priority so pets feel secure and relaxed while away from home. I aim to follow each pet’s established routine as closely as possible to minimize stress, including wake-up times, social play sessions, rest periods, and medication schedules if needed. I also focus on cleanliness, companionship, and mental stimulation throughout their stay. Communication is important to me, and I provide regular updates with photos so owners feel confident and reassured while they’re away.

Information Terry T. would like to know about your pet

I do not have a dog preference because I believe it’s all in how you raise them! My goal is to make your pet’s life here as similar as possible to their routine at home. To provide the best care, it’s important for me to know your dog’s temperament, likes and dislikes, quirks, daily habits, and whether they get along with other dogs or cats. I also like to know if they’re house-trained, spayed/neutered (not a deal breaker, just helpful to know), their feeding schedule (how much and how often), and their sleeping arrangements (crated or not). I also ask for any medical or health specifics, such as current medications (and how they are administered), chronic conditions or recent surgeries, allergies (food or environmental), and vaccination status. Behavioral concerns or triggers, such as fear of loud noises, anxiety, or aggression/reactivity toward people, dogs, or cats, are important to know as well. Understanding your dog’s exercise and activity preferences, favorite toys or games, activity tolerance, and any restrictions allows me to tailor their playtime and outdoor time to keep them safe and happy. Comfort items, favorite sleeping spots, and rituals that help your dog feel safe, as well as how they signal stress, discomfort, or excitement, are also helpful. Finally, please provide your preferred vet’s contact information and an emergency contact in case you cannot be reached. Things to bring with your pet: food and any specific treats. For food, please have it portioned for each meal or labeled with instructions so I can feed your pet accurately. To give every pet the best experience possible, we are strictly enforcing a 10-dog limit per day. Please book or reserve your spot as soon as you finalize plans. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

A typical day

While your fur babies are in our home, we aim to give them the love, attention, and care they deserve while away from you. Our house has a large toy chest filled with toys that pets can enjoy throughout their stay. I play fetch multiple times a day (weather permitting), and during quiet time, I often play calming music to help everyone relax and nap. Dogs have plenty of opportunities to go outside to play, run, and explore, as well as time to rest and nap throughout the day. I follow each pet’s feeding schedule to keep their routine consistent with home, and to ensure safety, every dog is given time to rest both before and after meals to help prevent issues like bloat. Each dog also receives personal attention, whether through active play, gentle indoor games, or one-on-one cuddle sessions. I provide mental enrichment with puzzle toys and training exercises to keep them engaged and happy. I send one update per day, typically around 2–3 PM, with pictures so you can feel reassured that your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If requested, I’m happy to send additional updates throughout the day. Replies to updates are optional; my goal is simply to keep you informed and confident that your pet is happy and safe. My goal is to provide a fun, safe, and loving environment where every pet feels comfortable, happy, and secure—like their own little vacation. I look forward to welcoming your pet and making their stay enjoyable and enriching!

Dedicated, full time pet sitter!

Pet care experience

Hello! I grew up in Charleston, SC, in a home that always had at least two fur babies. My family and I have a deep love for pets and truly believe they are one of the most cherished members of the family. I’m home full time with only a few errands to run during the week, so I’m able to provide lots of attention and care. For the first time in years, we don’t have a dog of our own. We lost our beloved Samoyed in December 2025 after many wonderful years together. Rather than adding another pet to our family, we’ve chosen to pour our love and care into the pets who stay with us. We currently have one cat, Robin, who has been with us for the past 11 years. She has always been around dogs, whether as siblings or visiting friends, and is very comfortable with them. Robin prefers to spend most of her day upstairs in my daughter’s room, but she’s well-adjusted to a busy, pet-friendly home. She was diagnosed with diabetes in June 2024 and manages it well with daily medication. She’s truly a tough kitty and has been by my side throughout my career as a dog sitter, growing very accustomed to dogs and cats coming and going into our home.

Terry was super attentive and provided detailed updates which help me trust that my dog was safe in her care! I love that she had everything at her home & I didn't have to bring supplies with him other than food. I could tell that Jetta really enjoyed his time there & I will def use her services again!
