Safety, trust & environment
I believe movement is medicine, so I love active, playful walks and games with dogs. At the same time, I’m calm and attentive with pets who are anxious or adjusting to new environments, ensuring every visit prioritises safety, trust, and companionship.
Information Terri-J D. would like to know about your pet
It’s helpful to know about your pet’s routine, likes and dislikes, energy levels, and any medical or behavioural needs. I also appreciate details about how they respond to other dogs, new people, or busy environments, so I can make every walk or visit safe and enjoyable. Also any training cues you may use.
A typical day
I believe movement is medicine, so I like to include lots of fun activities — from running and long walks to tug-of-war, fetch, or play with toys. I always adapt to your pet’s needs, whether that’s high-energy exercise or calmer, reassuring company. For quieter or anxious pets, I’m just as happy offering gentle play, cuddles, or brain games with toys to keep them relaxed and happy.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Jay — a caring and reliable dog walker and pet sitter in South London. I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember — growing up with them from a baby right through to early adulthood. Since then, I’ve continued to dog walk and pet sit for friends and families whenever life has allowed, including cat sitting and boarding too. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes — from playful puppies to big, strong breeds — and I’ll always tailor walks and care to suit your pet’s routine and personality. I’m also comfortable administering medication (though still growing my experience here) and I’m especially interested in developing my knowledge in dog behaviour and training, so I’m always patient, observant, and gentle in my approach. ✅ Enhanced DBS checked (through my professional work as a midwife & doula) ✅ Certified in Pet First Aid & Life Support ✅ Flexible Monday–Friday (10:30–20:00), with some weekend availability Whether it’s a long park walk, a quick drop-in, or some cuddles at home, I’ll treat your pet like one of my own — with care, respect, and lots of love. I’d love to arrange a meet & greet so you and your pet feel fully at ease.

Reviews
Jay has been my trusted house and dog sitter for quite a few years now. I know she loves and cares for my dog as if it were her own, and my house is always super clean when we get home from holiday. Our dog Sunday greets her with so much enthusiasm each time she visits so I know our dog is happy with her. Jay has become a friend to my whole family and we highly recommend her for dog care.
