Pet care is my routine! Dogs are seldom left alone and receive plenty of exercise and fresh air. If I have to go into the office for work, my girlfriend who is also a rover sitter takes over during that time.

Pets a very secured in my apartment. I typically will keep 1 dog at a time unless unless it’s a repeat client and both owners are aware. While on walks, I never let dogs off leash. Any dog parks we visit are fenced as well

Once a friend always a friend. I like to make long standing relationships with pets and their parents this ensures trust and comfort when earned along the way! *Disclaimer* My rates may fluctuate due to the season. However, I typically lock prices for returning pet parents!
A typical day
Typically we include 3 long walks which total to about 2 miles or more per day for bigger dogs. Smaller dogs vary with walk distance, depending on their fatigue. I live within shirt walking distance to 3 dog parks where most of our energy is spent.

Pet care experience
Hello My name is Terrence, an aspiring professional dog trainer & previously a part-time Vet Technician at the Columbia Pike Animal hospital. The love and appreciation I have for all animals is undeniable especially dogs! Just can't get enough of them. Growing up I've always had a dog or two to take care of and with my experience at the Animal hospital, I'm accustomed to dogs of all types from Mastiffs Pitbulls & St. Bernards to Yorkshire terriers, Miniature Pinschers & Pugs. I'll to treat your four-legged family member as a member of my own while being professional by exceeding expectations. Thank you for your time, I'd love to take care of your dog(s), build a relationship & enjoy some fun activities!
Reviews

Worst boarding experience I ever had. I board 20 times a year. In our interview Terrence was personable and asked concerned questions. He accomodated my very late drop-off. Right before drop-off, things got weird. Terrence was evasive about sharing his address. He didn't want me to know where he lived. I asked if I could walk him to his apartment door so that I could observe how he and my dog were interacting, since they'd only met 5 minutes before. Terence refused, saying that I could cancel the boarding request if I had a problem with his policies (which are nowhere stated on his profile). It was too late at night for me to find a solution so I left my dog hoping that clear, consistent check-ins would smooth the rough start. Terrence's mother and girlfriend stayed at the house with my dog. They're not background checked by Rover. They're not listed as occupants on his profile. Both are violations of Rover's sitter terms. His girlfriend walked my 70-pound semi-reactive dog that she'd just met through a busy lobby, loosely holding his leash in one hand and a bunch of supplies in the other. Even tho I asked her to put her hand through the leash handle to better secure him, she ignored me. The entire weekend, I had no idea whether it was just Terrence taking care of my dog or his mom and girlfriend too. I asked Terrence to check in with me in the morning and at night to let me know if my dog was eating/had normal stools. He insisted on only offering once-a-day check-ins because that's what he did for all his other clients. It took hours for him to respond to the check-in DM I sent each morning and evening. Rover intervened to transfer my dog to another sitter. Terrence didn't respond to Rover's phone calls or texts. Frazzled and defeated, the Rover agent referred to the situation as "a hot mess." The day before pick-up, I told Terrence the lack of communication was stressful. He retaliated by calling me "intrusive." I spent 5 hours of a weekend trip on the phone with Rover, looking for solutions. While Terrence is charming, the courtesy and communication are lacking. Maturity is an issue. Terrence should not be a sitter on the Rover platform

Terrence is great as always. Darren clearly has a great time during his stay, I get regular updates, and Terrence is super accommodating to coordination around things like drop off and pickup.

Terrence was so kind and communicative. We had a complicated hand-off situation with my two dogs, and he was understanding and flexible. The dogs were happy and calm when I picked them up. He was great to work with!

Terrence was awesome! So communicative, and my dog just loved him. He even offered to come get her because we were just a few blocks away, and that was so helpful to me. We’re using him again this week!
