Every animal is an individual who deserves to feel secure and loved while their favorite person is away. I’ll provide all the long walks, cuddles, playtime, and carry out any special instructions to make sure your pet’s needs are met. I have several years of previous pet-sitting experience with small non-app-based companies, and I'm excited to be here at Rover!

Safety, trust & environment
When I meet a new animal, I like to match their energy and let them set the pace. I've cared for dogs who never let you out of their sight, cats who you literally never see, and everybody in between. I have experience in giving oral and topical medication, caring for wounds and surgical stitches, and crating if requested. I’m well-versed and patient with animals who are scared, shy, high-energy, vocal, reactive, accident-prone, or disabled. My favorite pastimes are all versions of hiking, camping and being outside, so when I'm not doing that, I'm a huge homebody - in for the night by sunset, and up early. Throughout my life, I've lived with six dogs and five cats (not all at the same time!). My family raised goats when I was a teenager, and I'm fairly experienced around horses. I'm a competent intermediate rider, have worked as a carriage handler in Chicago, and am familiar with their food, exercise and grooming needs and their nonverbal cues. I'm open to house-sitting for any farm and exotic animals upon request.

I wish I can truly describe how great a dog sitter Terra is. Honestly I feel like my dogs like her more than us. She takes care of my girls with such care, but also treat our home with such respect. Thank you for being amazing!!
Terra is amazing. Our dogs don't love just anyone, but they ADORE her. She has the most calm, soothing energy and was an instant pro even with our complicated feeding routine and multiple pets. I felt like she really loved our babies like they were her own and will scoop her up again every time we need pet care.

Schedule
I just relocated to San Diego from the east coast, where I was able to focus on Rover full-time for a little over a year. I can't have pets at my residence here, but I didn't want to give up pet-sitting entirely, so I'm here to do house-sits and drop-ins. As of now, I don't have any other obligations yet, and I'm completely free to spend all my time showering your pets with attention while you're away!

- Let me know if there is anything specific to avoid on walks, such as other dogs, bicycles, skateboards, or anything else that makes them nervous. I'll want to know how much exercise time they’re accustomed to, what their favorite snacks are, and what time of day meals and walks usually happen. As far as care of your home, we'll go over any areas that pets should be kept out of, mischief they typically get into that I should look out for, and whether you'd like your mail collected or your plants watered, I'm happy to do that. That should be it! I’m already excited to meet them.
