ICU nurse, hiker, and animal lover!
I’ve rescued, raised and trained many dogs & 2 cats. I’m currently hiking all 46 high peaks in the ADKs. Exercise, usually hiking or running, is part of my daily life, so I can work with high energy dogs. I love snow and winter, I spend time outdoors every day, every season. I have years of experience with anxious, aggressive, geriatric, and high needs dogs. I volunteer at a 10 dog pitbull rescue, I manage 4 separate packs when I’m there. I have experience with horses, goats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, fish, and chickens! I’m an experienced homeowner as well, so I will take good care of where you live and everything that lives in it!

While I'm traveling, I've had Teri do daily visits to check-in on my cat. I've hired her for multiple trips over the course of two years. She has always done a great job and been excellent to work with!!
I was really anxious about leaving my dog, especially since I work from home and he's never alone. But Teri was great! She put my mind at ease from the start with photos and daily updates. It was clear he was happy and well cared for, which let me relax and enjoy our trip. I also appreciated knowing my house was in good hands. Schedule
I have a flexible work schedule, therefore, I can often accommodate last minute requests. Having your pet isn’t an interruption, it’s a bonus for me!

I’m used to managing a busy intense schedule. As a critical care nurse I excel at problem solving, critical thinking, clear and concise communication, and have keen intuition. I will provide you with peace of mind that your pet(s) and/or home are healthy, happy, and well cared for while you are away. I’ve been an RN for 23years -mammals all function physiologically the same way, I can triage health issues your pets may have while you are away and I’ll pick up on early signs of serious conditions. I’m happy to administer any medications or treatments. I am prompt and honor my commitments. I take pride in knowing my customers and patients feel they can trust me to go above and beyond.

A typical day
I’m a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor guide and a hiking/backpacking guide. I’ve been working with a group of young folks in Tburg to prepare them for backpacking trips, they’ve done many local hikes and 5 ADK high peaks! Because of this, I am very familiar with all the trails in The Fingerlakes. I know “off the beaten path” trails where nervous dogs will feel comfortable (my last dog was the very anxious Border Collie in all my pics ;).
