A little about myself, I’m currently a full time employee at an insurance company. I work 8.5 hour shifts and make my health a priority by staying active. Though I have these commitments, it will not take away from my commitment to providing your pets the best care they deserve and keeping a healthy balance.

Safety, trust & environment
The way I find best to care for pets in their homes is to slowly introduce myself to them and their environment. Get as much information about what their habits are. What triggers there might be. I feel that animals are feeling you out as much as I’m feeling them out. So slowly building trust is extremely important for your pet as well as myself. Random FYI, unfortunately due to health, I'm not able to sit in homes where the owners smoke.
Information Teresa W. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if your pets have triggers; such as movement, certain words or other animals. If I'm walking a dog, will they chase a squirrel or rabbit; become aggressive if they see another dog. Tell me about your pets love language. Do they like to cuddle on the couch or like to be brushed. Do they have a morning or nighttime routine. Anything that will make the transition to a sitter coming into their home a smooth and healthy process.
A typical day
We can go for a walk in the neighborhood or to a local park. We can find ways to play games that will stimulate your dogs thinking. Play catch and/or tug and war. I try to make the experience for the pet/s the same as with their owners. I do try my best to keep the same routine.

Pet care experience
I’ll do everything I can to make your pets feel comfortable and lessen the stress of a new best friend in their home. I’ll work hard to keep their routine as normal as possible and strive to keep an environment full of love, laughter and cuddles. I just love all types of animals and to learn more about them. I’m not afraid to sit for animals that I have to learn more about.

Reviews

Wonderful sitter. Highly flexible and super communicative. I felt super safe leaving her in my space w my pup! Margaux (the pup) seemed to have a wonderful time! The house was left in perfect shape as well. 5 out of 5 stars.
Teresa took excellent care of our dog and two cats while we were away for a week. She went above and beyond caring for our pets and taking care of our home. Everything was nice and clean, mail brought in, trash out, dishes clean. She gave us peace of mind knowing everything was OK at home. She sent daily updates and photos which was greatly appreciated since this was our very first experience with a pet sitter. She was available when we thought our flight would be delayed an extra day, which absolutely relieved that part of the stress of traveling. I can't say enough great things about Teresa! We will definitely contact her again for future travels!

Teresa was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our boy, Gideon! She gave plenty of updates throughout her stay regarding Gideon and never hesitated to reach out with questions. I know Gideon was in great hands with her. She even tidied up our home before leaving! She was a great guest and we would love to have her back in the future to watch our boy! 🤍

Teresa watched our animals for 9 days and we had a great vacation knowing our pets were in good hands. It was our first time having someone watch our animals for an extended amount of time and we were quickly at ease when she came over to meet our pets for the first time. She was great about giving updates and lots of great photos throughout the week. We would recommend Teresa to anyone looking for a pet sitter!
