Pick up the dog and bone!
Snoopy the Beagle came in to our lives nine years ago. It was our first experience of owning and caring for a dog. I remember thinking how odd it was to hear humans expressing their love for a dog. That was until I recognised the love I had for this pooch and ‘in his own way’ the love he has for us. Choosing a difficult breed has certainly challenged and at times tested our patience. He has also been a saviour during the pandemic and through times of difficulty. It is estimated that during the pandemic 3.2 million dogs had been purchased during the lockdown. Sadly, many of these have had to be rehomed due to impulse buying and practicality of caring. We all know that dogs need to be stimulated and nurtured every day and that doing this will create a happy dog and a happy household. I am here if you need a break, as respite from your dog, as I can honestly tell you that using respite in the past has prevented my dog from being rehomed. This is one of the reasons that I have decided to sign up to Rover to help others and to ensure that dogs get the care that they need, around busy lives and to remain in their family. If you choose me, you can rest assured that I will give your dog the same love, time and attention that I give my dog and also cat Lola, who is a gentle little soul. I have also, in the past, cared for other small animals such as rabbits, budgies and a hamster. Whilst I am caring for your dog, I can send you updates with photos and videos and you can rest assured that your dog will have fun and rest and will return home happy. I have firm boundaries with my dog, however he does sometimes rule the roost. I am happy to go with your own routines. I ask that your dog has the relevant vaccinations, is chipped and that they have a name tag with their owners contact details.

I have a large fenced garden. I have a dedicated area for my dog indoors and my cat mainly stays upstairs. I live near a local park and wooded area, however travel to different areas to walk my dog. I have completed training and certification in Pet First Aid, Animal Psychology, Dog walking and Pet home sitting Diploma.

Teresa has been looking after Henry for almost 2 months now and he really loves going to stay with her. Henry was an untrained rescue dog and Teresa had helped me train him so that he now is fully toilet trained and walks nicely on a lead. Most importantly he is a happy dog and I am confident he is being very well cared for with time for exercise, socialisation, play, sleep, reward treats for good behaviour and cuddles. Teresa has done so many things to accommodate Henry and to ensure he feels safe and has shown a great deal of kindness and support to me as a new dog Mum as well as to Henry. Henry looks forward to his days with Teresa and always runs to see her.
Teresa is absolutely fantastic and I cant recommend her highly enough - she ensured that Scooby was safe and sound and extremely well taken care of walked, played with, photos and video sent as I was very nervous [first time for me] turned up early, checked with me before she left and would definitely recommend and be using again moving forward
Teresa is a kind, caring and loving individual who displays great empathy both towards humans and their furry friends. Teresa has displayed great patience, resilience, love and tenacity with her own Beagle, Snoopy, who, as Beagles are prone to do, enjoys testing his boundaries and being stubborn. Teresa has persisted in being loving to him yet providing him with firm and consistent boundaries. Snoppy is an active boy and Teresa is attentive to his needs and provides him with lots of exercise and stimulation. Teresa is also great with my own dogs who are large breeds and can be boisterous. Teresa remains firm but calm when meeting them and we often enjoys walks together.
Teresa has been taking care of my Daisy for months now, Daisy always looks forward to her weekly walk with Teresa. I have found Teresa very professional and flexible, she has always taken care of Daisy so well and keeps me updated, I always look forward to seeing the photos. Daisy loves spending time with her and we appreciate all that Teresa does for our little one.
I have known Teresa for over 15 years, not only personally but professionally. Teresa is a lovely, caring and understanding lady. Teresa is wonderful with my dog Lola and 2 cats, they love spending time with her. It’s always a pleasure meeting up with Teresa for our dog walks 😊
When we brought Leo home a few months ago the thought of letting anyone else take him out without us being there seemed unthinkable. We met a couple of other dog walkers and had a bad experience with one in particular which made us really nervous about letting anyone look after our boy until Teresa started taking him for weekly dog walks. She is so caring and really looks after Leo as if he's her own. I really look forward to getting the photos and videos that she sends to us after every walk and it's clear to see how much fun he has! His confidence has grown massively since Teresa has been taking him out and he's no longer anxious around new people which had been really worrying us. Teresa also sends us little hints and tips that she's picked up along the way which have been so helpful to us as new dog owners. I couldn't recommend Teresa more to anyone looking for someone to look after their furry family member!

Schedule
I am available monday to Sunday. I’m able to do both early morning and afternoon dog walks from 7am to 5pm during the winter months.

- Please let me know if your dog has special diet or needs. We can only accept friendly dogs. I can collect and drop off if within 3 miles.
