Safety, trust & environment

I live in a ground-level apartment with plenty of space for a bed, crate, feeding area, zoomies, etc. My goal is to make sure my home is as comfortable and cozy as possible for your pet. Each pet is different, and I pride myself on getting to know your pet's unique quirks so I can love and care for them fully. I'm also happy to maintain your pet's training and commands, and the rules you maintain. I generally do not take any dogs I care for off-leash.

Home

Does not have a yard
Non-smoking household

Information Teresa T. would like to know about your pet

Things I've love to know about your pet: - How do they react to bikes/skateboards/cars/loud noises? - How are they around other dogs? - What do they require during walks (i.e. avoidance of other dogs, a shorter leash if they tend to pull, avoidance of kids, etc) - What do they tend to bark at while in the house if at all (voices, footsteps, etc.) - What other behavioural tendencies or preferences should I be aware of? (i.e. chews on socks/wires, loves scratches behind the ear, etc.) I live in the ground level of an old apartment building, right by the building entrance. That said, I hear every time someone comes in and out and goes up and down the stairs. My preference is to board dogs that are accustomed to these sounds and not very reactive to them. Of course, dogs are dogs, but if your dog is not a big fan of these sounds and will prolong their disdain for them (i.e. barking consistently), we may not be the best fit.

A typical day

I love to play! And more than that I love to play the way your pet likes to. Fetch? Down. Tug of war? Down. Hide and seek? Also down. I can't wait to share my neighbourhood with your pet, from the ravine, to the many parks and residential sights, and smells. It's my priority that your pet maintains their schedule, and that we can both get our steps in!

Pet care experience

New to Rover? Get $20 off your first booking - https://www.rover.com/sit/terest86578 Over the past 10 years, it's been a privilege to care for my friend's, family's, and neighbour's beloved pets. I've pet sat for pets across North America (San Francisco, Denver, Montreal, Chicago, Toronto, Seattle, to name a few!!) for the last 3 years, which has led me to care for and bond with dogs/cats of all different needs, routines, and personalities. I have experience with both old and young cats/dogs, administering medicine, providing all the playtime and cuddles they could ever handle, and sticking to their routine so that they can feel most comfortable with me. While I'm not yet ready to have pets of my own, it has been such a fulfilling experience to know that I can offer care and love for pets while their humans are away, and in return I receive their companionship and endless laughter and love. I live in a cozy ground-level apartment by many parks and the Cedarvale ravine for all the sights and sniffs. I work from home so your dog will receive plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout our time together.

This was my first time using Teresa and she was amazing! I was nervous using a new sitter but Teresa communicated professionally the entire time and made sure she knew everything about my dog before hand! Will definitely be using her again :)
