Welcome to a true home-away-from-home for your cat. I host only one family’s cat (or cats) at a time, so your pet can enjoy a calm, quiet environment with plenty of personal attention. Cats begin their stay with exclusive access to our large great room, and once they feel comfortable, they are welcome to explore the rest of the house. I’ve loved cats my entire life—and they seem to love me right back. My friends call me the “Neighborhood Cat Lady.” I do have two gentle dogs who grew up with cats and are not cat-aggressive. Most visiting cats give them a hiss or a quick swipe at first, and then everyone settles in and peacefully ignores each other. For cats who would rather relax in a home than stay in a cage, this is a cozy, safe place to stay while you’re away.

Teresa is the coolest cat sitter ever! She has decked out her house with so much enrichment, I know my cat is always taken care of and never bored. She has a true care for cats, as if they are all her own and I trust she will love and care for my cat for however long she is in her care!

Schedule
Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m self-employed with a flexible schedule and often work from home, which means I’m around throughout the day to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. My children are grown and on their own, so these days the pets in my care truly become my focus. I enjoy providing a calm, comfortable home where they can feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while their families are away.

Each day starts with feeding time and a quick check to make sure everyone is happy and settled. I keep litter boxes clean and tidy throughout the day so cats always have a comfortable, sanitary space. Because I’m often home, I’m able to spend plenty of time observing and interacting with the cats in my care. I make sure each cat gets the level of attention they prefer—whether that means playtime, gentle affection, or simply a calm, quiet space to relax. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and at home while their families are away.

It is important for cats to feel safe in their environment before transitioning to affection and entertainment. I spend time in their space and let them come to me. Once they make the decision to engage, I shower them with affection and play.
