As a retired professional from McMaster University, I knew immediately how I wanted to spend this next chapter of my life. What sets me apart? I offer dedicated, full-time care to your home and pets throughout Vancouver Island, Gulf Islands and Main Land (Negotiable). Two years ago, I leased out my own condo so I could be fully present and responsible to my hosts and their pets—this is not a side trip nor am I on vacation. I am a resident of BC. HOST NAME: Ian A. Jan 26 - Feb 6, 2026 AND March 8-March 31 2026 - Nanaimo, BC We recently invited Teresa into our home to look after our house and dog for 9 days while we traveled to Mexico. I am reluctant to provide an honest review....why?…because she will get more and more clients making it harder for us to book her on future occasions when we need her. She is quite simply amazing! Not just the fact that the house was impeccably clean when we got back.... the sheets were washed and the beds were made, the house had been vacuumed, the fridge had been cleaned ,but she even did some small gardening for us, all completely on her own initiative. We had seen reviews from some of her previous clients and I thought they were too good to be true but now we understand. You are instantly comforted knowing that she cares about your property because within the first hour of her being here, she had asked me where the smoke detectors were, did we have a fire extinguisher, and where was the main water shut off. (I don't think my own wife knows where that is! ) All things that could potentially be beneficial to know.... While we were away she communicated with us almost daily with pictures of the numerous walks that she was doing with our dog and he probably was disappointed when she had to leave because I am sure that she spoiled him completely. However he will be very happy to see her come back very soon as we are off to South Africa for 3 weeks and she will once again be welcomed in our house. We now consider Teresa not just our house sitter but a friend. She truly is phenomenal and I have no hesitation in highly recommending her services. You need have NO concerns. Ian & Dianne HOST: Michel and Elizabeth - Cadboro Bay, BC April 15-May 24, 2026 We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have Teresa coming back once again to take care of our beloved dog Remy, our plants and our home... after Teresa leaves, she is deeply missed by Remy as she really has created an deep bond with her and that is so important for us that Remy feels safe, well cared and loved all the time we are away. All the photos and videos that Teresa sent us on her forest hikes and beach walks with Remy gave us so much peace of mind that he was happy. Not only that, Teresa is extremely active and looks for ways to enhance our home, plants, landscaping.... we always found something that Teresa has fixed, improved, cleaned or added in our home. It's so rare to find someone that really cares and makes herself so helpful around our place, we feel very grateful. HOST: Chris and Sally June 5 2026 to June 30 2026 - Kingston, ONTARIO If we could have given Teresa 6 stars we would have!! She really went above and beyond anything we could have wanted from a housesitter. We had asked to to water the garden and cut the grass but she also took on a complete clean up of a messy area behind our house, a job that must have taken many hours! And, our garden had never looked better on our return, weeded and trimmed to perfection! Our yellow lab Tess was well loved and taken for long walks as well as lots of playing in the yard. Teresa sent photos and videos daily while we were away and we were happy to send photos of our trip back to her. We are happy to add another great review to all the ones she has already received. Teresa is an absolutely fabulous house/cat/dog sitter. We decided to make a last-minute trip and we're lucky enough to find Teresa available for the weekend. She spent several days with our two dogs, two cats and waterfront townhouse. She was unbelievable and we would have her back anytime we can coordinate our schedules with hers. You would be lucky to have her. She was diligent about exercising, our pets and vigorously, loving them her care of our beautiful home was amazing. She vacuumed and washed the hardwood floors, did some optional gardening and left the house immaculate. I didn't need my housekeeper the next day. Let me just summarizing by saying anyone who has the opportunity to work with Teresa in any of these capacities would be fortunate. She's a mature, intelligent, lovely person and full of spunk!
We had such a wonderful experience with Teresa J! She was incredibly accommodating and flexible, which made it possible for us to catch an earlier ferry. Throughout our pup’s stay, she sent us pictures and updates, and it was so nice seeing all the fun adventures they were having together. When we got home, everything was beyond our expectations, and most importantly, our pup was happy, relaxed, and clearly had an amazing time. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such great hands. We would absolutely recommend her and hope to have her pet sit for us again in the future!

We recently had Teresa house sit for us while we were away in Europe, and we couldn't be more pleased with her services. She took excellent care of our home, our husky, and our garden. The house was spotless when we returned, and she even went above and beyond by mowing the lawn. We would 10/10 recommend Teresa to anyone in need of a reliable and caring house sitter. I have been extremely fortunate to book Teresa Jane’s as my house sitter numerous times over the last three years. She is an outstanding house /pet sitter and human being. Here are some of her outstanding traits. She is extremely reliable and conscientious. Many times I have provided her with a key so that she can return for multiple visits. I trust her implicitly as I know that she will show up as promised and go above and beyond in taking care of my cat and and my home. She leaves my home cleaner than I left it and in one particular visit she completely cleared and prepared my garden for the winter months She even took down my summer canopy and put it in my storage area. She weeded my garden and laid down beach stones for my terraced area which made it look truly outstanding. My cat Gussie loves her and I have personally seen her providing play time and additional walks for the many dogs she has has under her care. She truly loves animals, If you are fortunate enough to book Teresa you will not need to worry for one second as she stays on top of things and often goes beyond in her actions to care for your home and pet(s).
We have had Teresa house & pet sit for us on 3 occasions. Teresa first sat for us late March to early April 2024 for 19 days. She took excellent care of our cat Ella & our dog Luna as well as our home. Teresa walk the dog several times a day, & doted on both Ella & Luna. Teresa even did some weeding & gardening which was not expected at all. Teresa came to sit again for just 5 days in June of 2024 & then again in late September to early October 2025 for 11 days. Again, her care of our pets & home was excellent. Luna was ready to leave with her when we returned home! It was obvious to us that Teresa takes pet & house sitting very seriously. She is a clear communicator; appreciates clear instructions regarding care of home & pets; provided numerous updates as well as pictures while we were away. We highly recommend Teresa to be trusted with your home & furry babies.

Two years ago, I leased out my own condo so I could be fully present and responsible to my hosts and their pets—since my availability is not due to my being on vacation in BC, I am am resident here. You basically receive a full time house sitter and pet sitter all in one.
