Hello! I am a Washburn University alumni! During my 5 years at Washburn I was a member of the Women’s soccer team and I received 2 degrees. My bachelors is in Psychology and my Associates degree is Occupational Therapist Assistant. I have spent the last year and a half working as an OTA at a nursing home in Topeka to save up for the doctorate program at the University of Saint Mary starting end of august. I just recently moved up to North KC to get acclimated and prepared for my first semester as a doctorate student! I have been doing rover since my sophomore year of undergrad in 2018. I have absolutely enjoyed my time loving on other families pups while mine have been back in Wichita with my family. I’m experienced with dog walking, house sitting, daily check-ins, as well as boarding. I would love to continue this journey as I start my next chapter in KC!

Tera was a great sitter for Penny! She sent several pictures throughout the day, and often shared how much fun Penny was having, along with the activities they did each day. She was very caring to Penny, and I would certainly recommend and will use her again when needed!
I’ve used Tera before and had a great experience but this last visit we had an issue. I woke up Saturday morning to see 3+ cars in my driveway using my Ring doorbell. I was concerned so I tried to call and it was declined. She texted me back later that “everything was great” but didn’t acknowledge the cars until I outright asked. She then admitted she had multiple friends stay the night at my house without asking permission because the weather was bad. Had I not seen the cars I would have never known. Since being home, I’ve also found bedding and towels in parts of my house that were previously in my room, indicating they went through my own bedroom to find these things. This was all after I had communicated with her about a previous Rover experience and them doing something similar and how uncomfortable it made me. I’m really disappointed my house and privacy weren’t respected after having such a great experience previously.
I’ve used Rover several times and Tera was by far the best sitter I’ve ever had for Pax! She’s super sweet, easy to communicate with, sent lots of pictures, took care of my house and I never worried for a second while I was out of the country. Highly recommend :)

Schedule
My schedule consists of class from 8-2 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On my free days, I plan on being at home/house sitting to prepare for classes/exams.

Safety, trust & environment
At my new apartment, I have a designated area for dog walking/dog park/extra grass to potty. I am experienced with walking dogs on leashes. I also have no problem staying at your place to ensure your animals are comfortable and safe with a full yard to run around in.
A typical day
We will go on walks around my neighborhood, take them for car rides, pup cups at our local starbucks, or whatever is requested by the owner!
