Pet care experience
Dogs take us for walks, as much as we take them
Teo grew up with big yard dogs in Romania (as well as several other animals big and small!). She loves teaching dogs tricks and recently put in a lot of time with a young Labrador to food and lead train her. Owen grew up with a whippet, which he walked every day for several years, and many mad cats. He loves getting to know pets, figuring out their personalities and how they communicate. We both love pets of all shapes and sizes, and our recent petsits have included energetic young pups and old dogs and cats who take medicines and need lots of gentle attention. We enjoy long adventurous walks and lots of cuddles. We both have other, highly flexible digital jobs (Owen is a writer, Teo is a researcher) and we work together to ensure that there is always someone to give the animal(s) care and attention. Petsitting is not our primary source of income, it really is a passion project, so we're not overloaded with dogs and cats and we always show up fresh and excited.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced yard. We keep the dog on a lead until we make it to a safe area in the park where we allow them to sniff around and play. It’s important that we know of any behaviours that might put them in danger, so please let us know.
Ratings and reviews
Teodora and Owen made an immediate bond with Bongo. You can tell they are true dog lovers. That made us very comfortable during our time away. They followed all the instructions about Bongo’s routine and sent frequent updates and pictures. Bongo seemed very happy with them. I would recommend them and call them again when needed.

Schedule
We’re both working from home and have really flexible schedules! We love spending time away from our laptops and go for big long walks. We always say that dogs take us for a walk, as much as we take them. We create all sorts of games depending on the dog’s personality.
