Tenlee can care for
Availability
As a student at John Cabot University, I have a flexible schedule that allows pet care to fit naturally into my daily routine. Since most of my classes are in the afternoons, I’m available in the mornings, evenings, and overnight for pet sitting, daily visits, and dog walks. Because I plan my academic schedule carefully, I’m able to dedicate focused, uninterrupted time to the pets in my care. This means early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening feedings, playtime, and overnight companionship are all easy for me to accommodate.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I carefully follow all provided instructions regarding feeding schedules, portion sizes, exercise needs, medications, and any special care requirements. For dogs, this includes walks, playtime, enrichment activities, bathroom breaks, and reinforcing any training cues they are familiar with. For cats, I maintain feeding routines, refresh water, clean litter boxes daily, and provide interaction based on their individual personality — whether that’s play sessions, brushing, or calm companionship. I also monitor each pet’s behavior and health, watching for any changes in appetite, energy, or mood. Cleanliness and safety are very important to me, so I keep feeding areas tidy, ensure doors and gates are secure, and treat your home with the utmost respect. Throughout the visit, I provide updates and photos for peace of mind, so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
Information Tenlee C. would like to know about your pet
Before watching someone’s pet, I think it’s really important to know their routine and personality ahead of time. Every animal is different, so I like to ask about their feeding schedule, portion sizes, favorite toys, walking habits, and any specific rules the owner follows at home. I also always want to know about any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or past injuries — and how to handle emergencies if anything were to happen. It’s helpful to know if they’re reactive to other dogs, scared of certain noises, shy with strangers, or have any behavioral quirks I should be aware of. For cats especially, I like to know their litter box routine, hiding spots, and how social they are. Since I have two cats of my own, I understand how important those little details are. Overall, the more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep the pet comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine while their owner is away.
A typical day
When I’m watching pets, I love making sure they’re not just cared for, but actually having fun and feeling engaged. With dogs, I usually plan things based on their energy level, long walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch at the park, tug-of-war, or even just practicing little tricks for treats to keep their minds active. If they’re more laid-back, I’m happy to just hang out, give lots of belly rubs, and keep them company so they feel comfortable and safe. With cats, I love doing interactive play like using wand toys, laser pointers, or tossing small toys for them to chase. I’ll also spend time brushing them if they enjoy it and giving them attention on their terms. Since I have two energetic and sweet cats myself, I’m used to keeping playtime fun while also respecting their personalities.

Special Skills & Experience: Experience with puppies, kittens, and senior pets. Comfortable administering oral medications. Knowledge of basic obedience reinforcement and leash training. Reviews
Tenlee watched our golden and our black lab while we went on vacation for 10 days. She showed up when she said she would (we have cameras!), she walked them, fed them (both our girls have food allergies and so have specific food and bowls they need to use) and treated them like they were her own babies. It’s never easy leaving them and entrusting someone into our home but we never had any concerns and would recommend her 1000%.
