I’ve around animals my whole life. My family actually calls me Dr. Dolittle because of how much I love animals. I have a handsome 7 yr old Miniature Pincher/ Italian Greyhound mix named Chewy. This past summer, I worked at a Dog Musher’s Camp in Skagway Alaska. Although, I worked in retail; to get extra hours, I would work with our dogs. I would clean their pins, refill the straw, refill their water and food bowls, and I would also help answer any guests questions about the dogs, the camp, or the Iditarod. While in Alaska my love and respect for animals grew even more because I had so many close encounters with so many kinds of animals! Since I’ve been back from Alaska, for extra money; I’ve been taking care of my roommate’s elderly dog when he goes out of town for work. He also has a stray mama cat and her two kittens that he takes care of. When he’s at work, I look after them as well.
