Availability
I’m a barista at a Starbucks in the new port Richey area. My shifts are generally 5 hours long from morning to the beginning of noon. So that leaves me with plenty of time to look after your fur babies. My schedule is not set, however, it is generally flexible. Feel free to reach out and 9/10 times I’m able to make it work.

Safety, trust & environment
I train my own pets at home using a positive reinforcement method and when interacting with an unfamiliar animal I find that to be the safest option as well. There are many theories as to what the behavioral differences and understandings between man and dog or cat, but at the end of the day, they wanted to be treated well just as you or I would. I’ve spent a lot of time studying the behaviors of animals in a way that would allow me to build trusting relationships with them in order to provide care.

Information Tegan T. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about any aggression or behavioral issues before handling the dog. I’m experienced in handling aggressive dogs and cats however the prior knowledge will allow me space to assess the best course of care to take with that pet before jumping into the situation blindly. I’d also like to know if they need any medications taken or any health conditions that may become prevalent when under my care.
A typical day
First thing in the morning I get up and walk my dog, feed all the critters and then make breakfast for myself. I head off to work as a barista and come home and walk my dog again, cook dinner and study for my real estate course and then go to bed and do it all over again.

Pet care experience
I started fostering when I was 14 years old and started volunteering at Pasco County Animal shelter when I was 17. I’m comfortable with all sizes and ages of dogs and cats, and I assure you, as long as they are in my care they are in good hands. I’m CPR certified and am Partnered with Busy Bees helper’s for any additional or extra needs.
Cat care experience

Tegan also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Tegan and her family were great with our cat and attentive to our needs. Looking forward to rebooking in the future!

Tegan was great and it was nice having someone staying with my two 19 year old cats to make sure they received their medications and had some company. Great communication, very responsive. Thanks!
Tegan did a great job staying in our home with our 2 cats. One with diabetes. We will definitely use her again

Thank you Tegan for the amazing care of my babies while we were away. I appreciate you and my dogs adore you?? 10/10 will book with her again??
