Safety, trust & environment

I love pet sitting inside the pets own house where they are so much more at ease. They can keep their same routine, environment and comforts without much interruption and this is great for both you and your pet. Less stress for everyone! I follow everyones instructions to the T, and make sure to write down everything after my initial meeting with you or that you have communicated to me via message or phone call. I have cared for sick pets of my own and of others, can administer most meds, clean minor wounds, and work around even the more “wild” pet temperaments. I have had special needs animals of my own and can work to the best of my ability to take care of yours as well.

Information Taylor T. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors I should watch out for before I come to your house. This could include if your pet is afraid of any particular household items, doesnt like certain noises, or if they’ll go particularly wild when the mailman comes. I have handled a lot of different temperaments and sized dogs, but please let it be noted if your dog is much heavier and you require/prefer your dog to go on walks we should do a trial run to see if I can handle him/her while on a leash. For their safety and mine! I haven’t ever had a problem with this just yet though. Inside the house/yard should be no issue! I will not participate in the use or prong collars or electric/vibrating collars. I also love to know your pets keywords! Particularly with dogs, we all teach our pets slightly different commands. For example what word your family uses for potty breaks or walks. Some people say "Ready to go outside?! Or "potty?" "Peepee?" "Walk?" If I forget to ask what words a pet knows, I tend to just go down the list until I hopefully get a response of recognition haha

A typical day

Well number one is photoshoots of course. My favorite part of sitting is sending cute pictures to you guys for reassurance. As for entertaining your pet, we can go all around your neighborhood on walks, play in the house or your backyard! (Depending on the rules of the house of course!) I do not drive so we sadly can’t go to any parks or beaches unless they are within walking distance.

Pet care experience

I'm Taylor, I crochet, I'm 28 and I'm originally from New Jersey! I absolutely love animals. I’ve been taking care of all types of pets since I was a child! Ive been dogsitting/petsitting professionally however for about 6 years both on and off Rover. I have grown and learned so much about all the different types of care unique to different species and breeds along the way. I’ve taken care of and owned senior dogs, puppies, cats, chinchillas, reptiles, fish, horses, chickens, parrots. All of the above! Sick, healthy, young or old. I'm willing to sit animals that are not cats or dogs! Farm animals included. Just message me and we'll discuss.

We love having Taylor house sit for us and watch our dog and cat. She’s so good with both of them and their little quirks, and she sends just the right amount of updates while we are away. And, as a bonus, the house always looks great when we return.
