I’m giving Taylor three stars. There were some things he did well, but there were also some issues that were frustrating. Taylor was very good about communicating while I was away. He sent me a message every day letting me know he had fed the dogs breakfast and dinner, and he sent me lots of pictures of the dogs, which I really appreciated. He also picked up the dog waste. The biggest issue was a misunderstanding about the dogs’ dinner. Their routine is kibble in the morning and pre-portioned homemade food in the evening. Taylor came over twice before my trip, and I decussed the feeding routine, including where the pre-portioned dinners were kept in the refrigerator and freezer. I explained that after feeding the dogs their dinner, he should take two portions from the freezer and put them in the refrigerator to thaw, so there would always be three days of dinners available. Unfortunately, he interpreted the six bowls of food in the refrigerator as six days of food for the two dogs rather than three days of food. As a result, he was feeding each dog half a portion for several days. There was also a frozen portion left thawing on the counter that had to be discarded. I do think I could have prevented the misunderstanding by putting the feeding process into much more specific written instructions rather than relying on what I had explained in person. However, I also specifically told him to text me if he had any questions, and since he was texting me every day, I wish he had asked when he wasn't sure about the feeding routine. There were also a few smaller things that weren't done as requested. Some of the outdoor planters were wilted, the kitchen trash wasn't taken out, and the guest-room bedding was only partially washed. The dog waste was picked up, although he used a shovel rather than the pooper scoopers I had left out. Overall, I appreciated the communication and the pictures, and the dogs were clearly cared for. The problems were frustrating but not enough that I wouldn't use Taylor again. I would use him again, but next time I would make the feeding instructions extremely specific in writing so there is no possibility of misunderstanding.

Taylor is very easy to communicate with. A genuinely lovely human. The dogs took to him very quickly. Would highly recommend

Taylor has been such a great help with our pups. When we have something come up and need the dogs to be let out, he has been AMAZING! They love him and it’s nice to know they are getting loved on when they have a long day away from us.

Taylor is amazing! Our dogs, Kanga and Dudley, absolutely adore him. He’s incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, always keeping us updated. You can tell he genuinely cares about the pups he watches. Highly recommend Taylor to anyone looking for a sitter their dogs will love!

10/10 would never use anyone else. Our dogs love Taylor and they are always taken care of perfectly!
