Pet care experience

7 years of Rover Experience!

I am a HUGE animal person and they have always had a special place in my heart. If I could, I would adopt every animal from the shelter so that they could have a loving home. I have been a pet sitter on Rover for 7 years now and I am loving it! Your pet will be my main priority as I love everything about them-big, small, young, or old. I will give them all of the love and attention that they deserve. I am committed to providing your pet with a safe and fun environment. I also love to go on hikes and walks. I can’t wait to care for your sweet babies and I will do everything I can to make sure they are happy and cared for until they are returned to you!

Dog Walking • Sep 17, 2023

I would give zero stars if I could. She really screwed us the day before our trip. We booked Taylor for boarding 2.5 months in advance after a meet and greet walk. We specifically booked her because she had no pets in the home and said she didn’t take more than one pet at a time. Unfortunately our pup doesn’t always get along well with other animals, which we told her in advance. 2 days before leaving for our trip, I hadn’t heard from her, so I reached out to confirm she was still planning on taking our dog. No response. She was usually pretty responsive, so I thought it was odd I hadn’t heard from her. I then noticed on her Rover profile she now had a dog in the home she adopted within a month of us booking our boarding. I followed up again the next day (the day before our trip), and she finally responded and confirmed she now has a dog. She didn’t volunteer this information - I had to ask. After admitting it, she later claimed to have tried to contact me about her new dog, but I have no record of the message. And she conveniently had no proof she sent it either. Even if she did try to contact us knowing her new dog created an issue and we didn’t respond…was she just going to keep our money and keep quiet and wait until we showed up the morning of to mention it??? Long story short, we had to scramble to find a new sitter THE DAY BEFORE OUR OUT OF STATE TRIP. She really SCREWED us. Then when I asked her to initiate the cancelation so I could get a refund while I scrambled to find a new sitter, only 50% was reimbursed because of “her cancellation policy.” When I asked for the entire amount, her reaction indicated that she could have cared less. Things happen, things can get miscommunicated. I can appreciate that. But what bothered us the most is that she took ZERO accountability, made up a story about trying to contact us, didn’t try to make it right by making sure we got a full refund, and didn’t seem to care at all about how bad of a position she put us in. I’m sure she’s a great sitter when she doesn’t wait to tell people she changed the terms of a stay until the day before their trip.

Friendly and responsive. My pups seemed relaxed when I returned which is really important to me. Each time I reached out to check in Taylor got back to me quickly to calm my nerves.

Taylor was great with my two babies while I was gone on a long weekend! They’re a handful sometimes and she was great working with them and trying to comfort them and help them get used to new surroundings while I was away. Would definitely recommend using her if you have the need!

This was our first time using Rover and we could not have asked for a better experience! Taylor was wonderful with communicating and made our pup feel right at home! She definitely had a good time because she was “all smiles” when we picked her up and came home exhausted, just like she used to after a solid day of play at daycare. We will certainly reach out to Taylor again in the future.
