I’m currently a graduate student at WWU and have a part-time remote job, so pet care fits really naturally into my daily routine. I have a pretty flexible schedule and can plan my days around your pet’s needs for walks, feedings, playtime, and companionship. I do share a dog with my ex-partner, so I’m only available for overnight stays when my dog is with them. My availability will always be kept up to date to reflect this.

I focus on keeping things calm, predictable, and secure by following the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I double check doors, gates, and leashes, keep food and household items out of reach, and make sure pets are comfortable.

It’s helpful to know a pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and any behavioral quirks ahead of time. I also like to know how they do on leash, around other dogs or people, and if there are any triggers or fears to be aware of. Information about medical needs, medications, allergies, or mobility limitations is important as well. I appreciate details about household rules, preferred walking routes, emergency contacts, and vet information. The more I know upfront, the easier it is for me to keep pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine.
A typical day
I adjust activities based on each pet’s personality, energy level, and usual day-to-day routine. For more active dogs, that might include longer walks, fetch, or runs. For calmer or older pets, it may be shorter walks, gentle play, and plenty of attention and companionship. Throughout the day, I make sure pets get consistent breaks, engagement, and downtime so they stay happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

What sets me apart is that I’ve raised and cared for my own dog since he was a puppy and he’s now three years old, so I’m comfortable with dogs at all stages of life. Growing up around dogs also gave me experience with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs.

Taylor was absolutely wonderful with our golden retriever, Oliver! She took such great care of him and kept us updated throughout his stay with lots of photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. She took Oliver on fun adventures and made sure he got plenty of attention and exercise. Taylor was excellent with commuication and clearly cared about Oliver like he was her own. She also left our house in great condition. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would happily book Taylor again. Highly recommend!
Taylor has been a wonderful help for drops-ins and longer stays. She is friendly, communicative, responsive, and allowed us to travel with our minds at ease that our pups were in good hands! Highly recommend
