My current job gives me a lot of flexibility to care for animals throughout the week and weekend. I currently make time for local dog walks during the week, depending on the day/time, and depending on my travel plans my weekends allow for me to care for animals as well.

Prior to taking care of animals, it's important for me to know the animal's normal behavior/routine (sleep/feeding/physical activity), as well as any medical items I should be aware of. An animal's comfort level with other animals and people is very important, in addition to how they react to extreme weather (extreme heat/cold and rain or bad weather).

I love taking dogs on walks and am happy to entertain them with outside or inside play. Some dogs that I've watched love snuggles, which I'm more than happy to provide :)

I've been taking care of animals via dog sitting/walking/drop-ins and cat sitting/drop-ins since I was in elementary school for neighbors, friends and family! More recently, my husband and I got a chocolate lab puppy in April 2020 during Covid, and learned A LOT from that experience. An 8 week old puppy is a full-time job, but with some patience, training and a whole lot of love she is a wonderful dog and our fur baby :) I also had the opportunity to work for a friend's small business that specialized in dog sitting/walking in the North Atlanta area for 2+ years and loved the opportunity to get to know other animals and help pet lovers like me out!
