Anxious and Reactive Dogs Welcome!
Pet care experience
Are you stressed about leaving your anxious or reactive dog in the wrong hands? I might be the sitter you’re looking for! My name is Taylor. I specialize in working with dogs who have behavioral quirks such as anxiety, reactivity, and aggression. I’ve had dogs my whole life. I currently have a 3 yr old male boxer. I compete with him in a dog sport called schutzhund. I was also mentoring under the trainers at Training With Play in Belgrade, MT. Starting 2024 I hope to attend the Michael Ellis school for dog trainers. Moreover, I recently graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Equine Science. Thanks to the sport and my mentors, I’ve gained an immense amount of high level dog handling skills. Due to my formal education, I am educated on the science behind animal behavior, learning theory, animal husbandry and so on. I am also aware of dog body language, different training techniques, safe management practices, and much more. I have a number of references available who can attest to my education and handling skills.
Reviews
First time booking with Taylor and it won’t be last! We received daily updates, she understood our dogs needs and energy. Highly recommend Taylor!
Taylor was amazing with my feisty little terrier and was so thoughtful to give her a bath before pick-up. Thanks for giving her a great weekend - 24 hrs later she’s still tuckered out (in a good way!)
Taylor is THE BEST! My puppy has special needs and she was so perfect for him! She sent daily videos and I felt so comfortable having him stay with her would not hesitate having him stay with her again and again! Thank you Taylor!
I know my dog is not an easy guy, but Taylor made me feel so comfortable leaving him with her! She showed me the whole place so I knew what my dog was in for, and she sent me videos every day of him playing and meeting other dogs, which BLEW MY MIND, she's a wizard with the pups. I think he probably had a better time at her place than he does at home!

A typical day
I typically exercise all dogs in the morning and in the late afternoon, before I feed them. I adjust the type of exercise to your dog. We can fetch, tug, do parkour obstacle, scent/nose work, or just go for a walk out in the pasture. During the day, the dogs are allowed to hang out and be farm dogs. We work full time out of our barn, so we are always out doing something around the property! I love to do enrichment games with dogs such as scatter feeding, snuffle mats, scent work, obedience training, and more. If your dog does well off leash and around livestock, I am open to taking dogs out on trail rides with my horses. We also have full access to a private 11 acre wetland reserve surrounding my house! Moreover, I like to take my boarding and day care dogs to the beach, on hikes, and much more depending on the dog! If you are interested in a more structured socialization or would like training sessions added to your stay, I have options for that! Please inquiry about different options I offer as well as pricing!

BOARDING: I run an in-home, farm dog style boarding program. We live on three acres with two horses, our dogs, and a few chickens. Our property is split into 5 fully fenced yards. I don’t use kennel runs, so this way I have the ability to keep dogs separated when we are outside. As for in the house, I can keep dogs separate in different rooms by fully closing the door, or with extra tall baby gates. I will always properly, slowly introduce all dogs to new dogs and livestock. I typically introduce dogs by taking them on a long walk together on leash. I keep the dogs at a fair distance from each other at first, then slowly get closer depending on body language. The same routine goes for introducing to livestock. If your dog needs to stay completely separate from everyone else, no problem! I have management practices in place to ensure everyone stays happy. While my boarding experience is very dog dependent, they will be adequately exercised, carefully socialized, and loved on every day! Most days, I follow a schedule, but do like to take all the dogs on day trips to the beach, parks, or even just running errands with me. I treat your dog like they’re my own! A typical day of boarding looks like: -morning exercise: long walk in the pasture, tug, fetch, etc depending on the dog -morning feeding: mental enrichment games with their food -mid day: all the dogs are welcome to roam the property, but most just hangout around the barn while we work from home (we work out of our barn). I am constantly checking on all dogs. -mid day exercise: typically a walk out in the pasture -mid day feeding if needed -evening exercise: fetch, tug, walk, etc -evening feeding *I like to take the dogs out while running errands, to the beach, to a park, etc. they go everywhere I go! *if you’re interested in adding a training package to your dogs stay, please message for more details. HOUSE SITTING: Depending on the dates, my house sitting services may be slightly limited. Please inquiry for more info. DAYCARE/DAYTRAINING: Dogs who are with me for daycare will follow the same schedule as my boarding dogs. They will also be worked with individually each day. If you are interested in structured day care/day training for your dog, please message for more info. At an additional cost, It would include me working on basic obedience, house manners, socialization, and working through any minor reactivity. Feel free to message me with any questions thanks!
