Over the years, I have been gathered extensive knowledge about animal husbandry. Along with my coursework at Essex Tech in the Companion Animals program, I also worked for the school as a dog trainer and dog, cat, and rodent groomer for 2 years. I later worked as a dog trainer and dog daycare worker for 2 years! It was my honor to teach countless clients and manage large playgroups of dogs. Recognizing and understanding dog behavior, body language, animal handling, first aid, nutrition, (and much more!) is second nature to me at this point in my journey! These skills give me the comfort I need to know I can provide the best, most informed care to every beloved pet I work with! I work through a flexible, positivity based approach, prioritizing client and animal trust above all else. I understand that every animal needs different methods to feel (and act) their best—and I mean EVERY animal! I have experience in reptiles, avians, rodents, and cats along with dogs, owning and/or working with all consistently throughout the years! I hope we can work together to help your animal family members have the greatest time, even when you’re away!

Safety and comfort is of utmost importance to me. I know we all have those weird habits we do to make our pet comfortable, and I am willing to do what will help your friend while you’re away! As a nervous and reactive dog owner and someone with extensive experience with all sorts of animal personalities (Really! At daycare, we had over 100 dogs daily, and during my schooling, I cared for over 30 different animals!), I may even have some extra tips to help your pet feel safer. I am also Pet First Aid and CPR Certified, and I am no stranger to utilizing those skills in the field when needed.

Taylor has been the best petter sitter I have ever know. She is passionate about what she does and the families and pets she works with. Taylor is the only person I feel 100% comfortable leaving my fur baby with. She is incredibly knowledgeable of animal behavior, training techniques, and pet care. Our family calls her the “Luna whisperer” after she watched our anxious furbaby Luna while we were away. We got pictures and updates the entire time and our Luna appeared more comfortable than we’ve ever seen her during a house sitting with a new sitter. Later down the road Taylor even helped us train Luna out of her jumping behaviors, so now we can have our elderly parents over worry-free! Highly recommend.
Tate is a kind soul. Her love for all animals is beyond any gentile being I have ever meet. I have the pleasure of knowing her for 13 years and counting. I trust her with my most precious possessions (my son and 5 cats). She is the most remarkable woman I have ever met. She is honest, genuine and kind spirited. I am honored to write in detail how much she is such an amazing being. I FULLY recommend her; for you will never seek another to care for your fur-babies.

Schedule
I’m currently teaching part time, so I have extra time every day to care for your best friend(s)! My work schedule is 1:30-5:45 M-F every day that school is in session. Additionally, I am typically available every weekend. My Rover calendar stays up to date, but please note I typically don’t book out more than 2 months in advance! That said, feel free to inquire about any date, some exceptions may be made!

- Please let me know about any unique needs your pet has! This includes feeding rituals, medications, allergies, disability aids, and even just that special time of day that your pet can’t go without their treat or playtime! I can provide the best and most comfortable care when I know your schedule. If applicable, here are some other things that would be helpful to create the most comfortable experience for your pet; Does your pet have any fears or triggers for reactivity? This could be dogs, certain types of people (ie: men, people with hats), small prey animals, loud noises, etc. It is very important for me to understand what makes your pet feel scared or excited in order to ensure safety. Has your pet ever tried to escape from your home? This helps me be more prepared for flight risk pets. Do they pull on walks? I have plenty of experience with pullers and am able to handle almost all sizes of dogs on walks, but knowledge of what to expect helps prevent emergencies. What kinds of training are you working on right now? As an animal trainer, I know that consistency matters more than anything. From potty training to preventing jumping to putting a stop to that chewing behavior, I am here to help!
