Caring for animal friends
I have been watching and walking dogs for about 15 years and throughout my life have had my own dog and 8 cats. I am especially sensitive to accommodating anxious animals and pets with injuries or other medical/special needs. I will be more than happy to maintain any training protocol your pet is working on - I enjoy that kind of thing! And in case I will be hosting your dog, I will note that I have a large fenced in backyard, and both my husband and I work from home. We are not able to host dogs that are still working on potty training, but I can certainly help out with this in your space. I look forward to meeting you and your pup(s)!

Taylor was so wonderful with my dog. He was attended to with so much care, and I felt so at ease while traveling because she was so reliable, solid and understanding about special instructions for walks and medicines. Definitely on my short list of pet care pals. Thanks for everything Taylor!

Let me start by saying that I have two wonderful little dogs. Wonderful, but also energetic and chaotic, requiring lot's of special attention and discipline. My littlest one even had a hurt foot that needed to be observed to make sure it healed properly. Taylor did a perfect job while taking care of them. She sent us text messages with photos of their fun times together, tended to our littlest one's foot as it healed, initiated play times with her dog Luna and even took them all camping, which is their favorite! They had such a good time together that I'm pretty sure our pups were depressed for the next few days after we came to pick them up, because they missed her and Luna. Thanks again Taylor!

Taylor's house was exactly what my dog needed while I was away. He had plenty of human attention and canine companionship to make sure he felt well loved and, just as important for me, exhausted by the time I returned! Highly recommended.
I had Taylor watch my 2 large dogs for 2 weekends this month. The first weekend went off without a hitch really. Gracie got sick when I picked her up but sometimes she eats things that do not agree with her. The second weekend was a different story. 2 hours after I dropped my dogs off at Taylors I get a phone call from someone who lives in her neighborhood saying that he had my dog Gracie. OK, that was a little strange since Gracie was to be kept in her crate while no one was home and where was my other dog Dexter?? I call Taylor and she does leave work to go get my dogs and take them home. Turns out that they had gone through a window screen to get out. Gracie would have been fine if she had been left in her crate like she was supposed to be. I felt really bad about the dogs breaking her window screen but had they been put up how I requested that would not have happened. On Sunday while driving back home from my trip I get another phone call from a guy saying he had both of my dogs at 51st and Duval!!! I once again call Taylor and she says that her roommate was home and she would go pick them up. The nice stranger who found them and called me then called back to say that the poilce had just picked them up. Great my dogs have now been arrested!!! Taylor was able to get the cops to bring my dogs back to her house and not take them to puppy jail. I should say that I told Taylor on our first meeting that Dexter is an escape artist and it does not take him long to get out of almost any fenced yard. She told me that they are never out alone and will always be watched. I guess this is not the case. Since being at home for 24 hours both dogs have gotten sick several times which is unusal. Taylor is a very nice girl and seems like she would be great with other dogs, I feel that maybe less active and maybe smaller dogs would be best with Taylor and Luna (her super sweet dog)

Taylor watched my pup for a week. He got to play all day with Luna (her 1 yr old dog). Taylor's home and roommates were very welcoming for my dog's stay!
Taylor did a great job taking care of my dog, Beau. I could tell he was made very comfortable and although he was happy to see me, he did not bolt out the door once I picked him up, indicating to me that he had a fun and comfortable stay. I really like the neighborhood they live in and there's a nice sized backyard for exercise and playtime. I would recommend her services to friends and family!

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks My neighborhood is a residential area that has lots of green spaces and interesting things for dogs to smell. There's almost always a sidewalk unless it's one of the really small roads that rarely get used. There's not much traffic around and there rarely seems to be anything on the ground that I worry about my dog eating (dead/rotten things, trash, etc) Your dog's sleeping arrangement Dogs are invited to sleep in my room on a doggy bed made up of plush comforters and pillows, or they are welcome to sleep on the couch/chair in the living room. My bedroom door stays open so that they can go where they're comfortable. Time I'll spend with your dog I cannot host high-need/high-energy dogs during the week because I am at work from 9-12pm and 1pm-6pm. During the week, dogs get a morning playtime, lunch walk/playtime, and another walk/playtime when I get home. When I have a dog staying with me on a weeknight, I do not make evening plans. The best-behaved dogs are the ones who get enough attention! Weekend stays are more flexible- since I have more time to devote to their care, I can take on higher-need dogs that have more energy or need more supervision.
