Vet Assistant (LVT in training)🐾❤️

I have been taking care of animals all my life, really. However, I have only been pet/ house sitting since I was 15 and old enough to drive myself. I am currently a full time vet assistant working at the local humane society, with 5 years of experience working at a vet clinic as an assistant. I am able to identify lameness/illness in dogs and cats and am able to administer all meds including subcutaneous fluids and insulin.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I will make sure your pets have plenty of water and food to keep them happy. The first thing I do when I get to the home is let the animals out to stretch their legs and go potty. If needed, I am willing to walk the dog(s) on a leash outside to use the bathroom. Along with that, I will check the house for any accidents and gladly clean them up. As I have stated before, I am quick to realize if something is off with your fur babies, such as illness or lameness. I am a frequent flyer at the local veterinary clinics and emergency clinics nearby (thanks to working at the humane society lol), so that may help ease your mind a bit while you are away!

Taylor, again, took great care of our senior cat and our home. Never a doubt leaving her in charge. Also, continues to be excellent communicator. We are so fortunate to have Taylor to help us.

Taylor is absolutely amazing!!! She watched our two dogs for the weekend while we were visiting family out of state and did a phenomenal job. We liked the fact that she’s in school to be a vet tech, works with all types of animals daily, and is from the area - in the event of an emergency, Taylor knows exactly what to do, and that is beyond comforting. On top of that, she’s incredibly respectful, communicative, and kind. She has a wonderful way with animals - one of our pups is very wary of strangers, however Taylor had such patience with him, worked with him, and soon enough he warmed right up to her. She did a fantastic job communicating with us and sent a ton of pictures. She truly alleviated all anxiety, and we absolutely will rely on her again!!! Thank you, Taylor!

Taylor saves the day, again! We used Taylor for 1st time in November. Morticia was so comfortable (as were we) so we immediately booked her for this time. No doubts. No hesitations. She's just right for our senior, usually wary, cat. Morticia greats her at the door and hangs by her side! Taylor is a top notch communicator. She regularly shares how things are going and quickly responds to my emails. We have no qualms re: having her stay in our home. As long as she is listed on Rover, we will continue to welcome her into our home You can't go wrong with Taylor.

Taylor was fantastic! Our senior cat (who can be shy) met her at the door and they were best friends ever after. Taylor sent us a picture each day and is a great communicator. She followed our old girl's feeding and med schedule. She works with animals and appreciates the individual's needs. We have no hesitation recommending her to others. We've already booked her for another cat/house sitting!

Schedule

I’m currently working full time at the animal shelter. My work day usually starts at 8am and ends around 3 - 4pm. It is very easy for me to “sneak” away from work and go on a quick break to let your fur babies out during any down time I have at work! As we are a humane society, everyone understands the importance of pets getting their potty breaks during the work day!

Please let me know if your fur baby has any special needs or needs medication. This includes having anxiety, seizures, diabetes, lameness, or just plain fear. I am very experienced in dealing with animals with all of these problems and more, as they come in to my job every day!
