Passionate & Dedicated Dog Pawrents

Please read the bullet points before continuing: - We are a multi-dog household (2 of our own with high possibility of other dogs we are boarding). Please only request a stay with us if your dog is good with all dogs and would be comfortable in this type of setting. - We will be on vacation July 31-Aug 11 and Jan 9-23, so will not be taking bookings during those times. - We no longer offer meet and greets, as our boarding schedule is often full and coordinating them has become increasingly difficult. In addition, we’ve found that these visits can create unnecessary stress for our dogs. We encourage you to take a look at our 150+ five-star reviews and photos to get a sense of the environment and quality of care we provide in our home. My husband (Max) and I are the very proud pawrents to our Labradoodle, Hartley, and our mixed breed dog, Wilfred. We take a lot of pride in our ability to train and raise great pups. Hartley is a trained community therapy dog and is the calmest dog you will meet. She is incredibly kind and adaptive to all dogs, whether big, small, or a rescue. Wilfred is a kind, silly, and enthusiastic dog. He loves to play, but loves to nap even more. He will very much follow his big sister’s cues.

I cannot say enough good things about Taylor and Maxwell. Drop off and pick up are both seamless. The updates come daily, and they are extremely responsive when you reach out during your dog’s stay. We feel very fortunate to have Scamp stay there every time.

I love dropping Willy off when I go skiing :) Tayler and Maxwell are open to early morning drop offs and conveniently located off of 16th. Willy gets a nice walk and company instead of being home alone for a long day.

Schedule

Since creating our Rover profile in 2022, we have watched and cared for hundreds of dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. That being said, we do not have a "typical" daily routine and remain adaptable to meet the needs of each dog we watch. The day may look like play time in our fully fenced back yard, walks around the neighbourhood or the along the Bow River, fenced in or open off-leash dog park visits (depending on recall level), or extra cuddle time with us. We also have lots of toys, dog puzzles, Nylabones, and treats to keep your pup entertained. Finally, we try to integrate the dogs we watch as much as we can into our daily lives - coming along on short road trips, attending family gatherings, or going on pet-friendly errands and outings with us. You can rest easy knowing your pup will be treated as well (or better) than our own.

Safety, trust & environment

What sets us apart from other sitters is our understanding nature. We know that some dogs need their space, some may become anxious without their owner, and accidents can happen. We have experience working with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, and energy levels, and try our best to make the boarding and day care experience as comfortable as possible for all dogs. Max and I are both self-employed and often work from home. Max owns a media business, and I work in mental health and the arts. Between the two of us, one is often around. However, your pup/s must be able to be left alone for a somewhat extended period of time (~5 hours at most), as us being home all day is not a guarantee.

Pets

A typical day

Between treat puzzles, chew toys, fetch in the park, or sniffing around the neighbourhood on a walk, your dog will have plenty of opportunities for both mental and physical stimulation.

The safety and well-being of each dog we watch is our top priority. We often have more than our two dogs in our place at any given time so please only book with us if your dog/s get along well with all dogs and are okay being in a multi-dog setting. We also strongly encourage dogs to be up to date on vaccines/dewormers before the stay to reduce risks for all dogs in our care. Moreover, we will not be accepting dogs at the door that show signs of contagious ailments, such as kennel cough, for the safety of your dog/s and ours. We are more than happy to support your dog's dietary needs and restrictions. Please let us know ahead of time if there are any special care instructions we should be aware of. What to bring: - Your dog's food (enough for the stay and a little extra just in case!) - medication/s + vitamins/supplements (if applicable) - harness and/or walking collar - Warm outdoor gear (if applicable) - An item that smells like home (ie. a shirt, blanket etc.) if your dog/s tends to be anxious while away What not to bring (because we have it here!): - Toys (we have durable and/or interactive ones) - Dog bed - Dog bowls (we have both regular bowls and slow feeders) - Crate (we have an XL, medium, and small crate - dogs are only crated if that is what they do at home) - Leashes/walking belt system (we use our own here) - Treats - Poop bags
