Pet care experience

Self proclaimed “Dog Whisperer”

Ever since I can remember we always had animals of every kind around; dogs, cats, chickens, ponies, fish, frogs, salamanders! I personally love dogs, growing up with Boxer pups I learned effective ways to train animals. I own a chocolate lab myself, Ollie, and he is the best little guy ever! I also love cats, I’ve personally always named my animals after Harry Potter characters because I think it’s fun for people to guess why my cats name is Minerva! For the past ten or so years I’ve dog sat for all of my friends & family members. My current situation I’m unfortunately not able to house animals in my apartment, but I’m hoping to move to be able to offer in home care at some point this next year.

Safety, trust & environment

I’m a very patient person, I talk to my dog like he’s a human. I’m always trying to teach him new commands, it helps that he’s very good motivated! I also get up a half hour early every day to exercise him so he’s at least a little tired before I leave for work. I also Play with him immediately after work as well. He doesn’t get a treat unless he does several commands for me, I also don’t feed him “human food” except for fruits & veggies and some meats like chicken and fish. We go to the dog park every week, he’s still working on walking on a leash so we do that around the house and yard, he’s a big boy and sometimes takes me for a walk! Especially when he sees a squirrel!

She’s like clock work and I think my dog likes her more than me.

Schedule

I work full time, 7am-3pm at a hospital. I have a pretty relaxed schedule so I can come in early if need be to leave early, or take a lunch break to check on animals within the area. I am available weekends as well, I take my dog & my best friends dog to the dog park every weekend. Currently I cannot dog sit unless I am able to bring my dog Ollie with as well.

Tayla can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
I would like to know if your dog has any behavioral issues, is a bit more aggressive, I’ve been attacked by my neighbors dog & so has my dog Ollie. There are some breeds I just won’t interact with after that; Australien Shepherds, Aussies, or any kind of herding dog.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
