I’ve always taken care of and loved having animals since I was a kid. Professionally I’ve been a dog sitter for over 10yrs but I’ve had pets my whole life and had the responsibility of taking care of them. I have lots of experience with senior dogs who need meds, dogs who are a little anxious and take their time getting to know someone, and of course, the dogs who require a bit more of an energy outlet. From puppies to seniors, I’ve cared for them all! I’ve also had great success in training dogs in all sorts of ways they need extra help in. Whether that be social interactions, kennel training, potty training, etc.

Tawnya has been taking care of our dog for over three years, and she has been absolutely wonderful! We have used several pet sitters through Rover over the years, and Tawnya has by far been the best. Our dog is comfortable, relaxed, and completely stress-free when he stays with her, which has not always been the case with other sitters we have used. Her home truly feels like a second home for him, and it is obvious that he is treated like part of the family while he is there. That gives our family a tremendous amount of peace of mind when we are away. Tawnya is dependable, caring, attentive, and someone we completely trust. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care for their pet.

Tawnya is amazing! She’s been taking care of my dogs and bunny for a few years and they are always so cared for. In fact my one dog,Blu, who hates cars, will run to the car as soon as we pull out a suitcase. They have so much fun! Would give more than 5 stars is possible!

Schedule
I’m a stay at home mom who loves being home all day! In between school pick up and drop off, I’m pretty much at home hanging out with the animals.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard with grass for playing and a separate fully fenced area with no gaps in it whatsoever, that the dogs go potty in. I clean the dog run weekly with an animal safe enzyme to keep it fresh. I have a gated area in my house that separates the living room from the entry way for safer exit and entering or for those dogs that want to relax with us on the couch instead of play rough with the more playful dogs. I only use this as needed. I have another gate on my stairs so all dogs stay on the main floor with us for easier supervision. Dogs are free to explore the main floor and hang out with us all day. I often let dogs outside to play or potty but never leave outside for long extended times and never in extreme heat/cold and always let them in when they want. I never feed your dog human food unless they come with it and always check for food allergies before giving treats!
Pets
A typical day
A typical day with me is probably similar to at your house but your dog might have another dog friend or two to play with! The day usually consists of playing with other dogs or cuddling with us on the couch. My girls love to play fetch and tug o war with the dogs too! I can accommodate most animal needs with no problem. I feed dogs separately (unless from the same house) and will feed them in a separate area with a gate in between or in their kennels if they’re kennel trained and have one. This keeps other dogs from eating food they’re not supposed to and keeps dogs focused on eating. I get a feel for every dog and adjust my routine for what the dog needs to thrive and feel comfortable.
