I’ve come to understand with my own animal friends that quality time is different than just presence. I really love to get to know the animals and what their preferences are I.e: what they do like? Are they more shy or outgoing? Where is their favorite place to be scratched? What type of play do they like best? Are they more into relaxed presence or do they want lots of movement? I’m able to get in tune with their rhythms really easily and get to know their personality. I take pride in my ability to win over shy dogs for example and become their best friends. Simply through listening to them, understanding body language, and giving them what they need to be able to trust me. My people pleasing tendencies with people (that I am unlearning) transfers very well to animals.

A typical day
I’m a big fan of adventure so I really don’t mind long walks and long play times. Depending on the animal and their preferences we could be outside all day! If they are more of a docile friend we may just sit together so I provide them company.

I've always loved animals, as I grew up with them always around me in my home as a child. We had 2 cats, a dog, and two turtles growing up. I love to get to know all of their individual personalities and my dream is to always be surrounded by animals. I have one cat, a cute, fiesty, cuddly and opinionated Leo black cat named Kiera. The dog sitting was for the day, 4/29. Tatania came to our home and walked the dogs and played with them three times. She was delightful with our 4 dogs and we would certainly call her again. The cost was a little high. But other than that, the experience was excellent.
