PLEASE read this part carefully!!! I currently work two jobs at two different vet hospitals as a Registered Veterinary Technician. My first clinic is a small animal general practice that sees dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I currently work Mon-Wed 7a to 6p and every other Saturday from 8a-2p. My second job is at a small animal ER on Thursdays overnight from 7p-7a. ♡♡I truly love all the animals I work with in all these different settings. I'm so often caring for very sick pets, so I love when I can care for some healthy, happy fur babies in their homes! But please be aware that I have a busy schedule, so if your pets need a constant eye and you are not comfortable with me taking them to my jobs with me (if applicable), I'm probably not a good fit for you.♡♡

Safety, trust & environment

I have two cats, and three snakes at home. The snakes are all in their own separate enclosures and only come out strictly supervised. My cats are a little scared with dogs, but warm up pretty quick, and may even want to play as they get more comfortable. I have a nice spare room to separate pets as well if need be. I'm in a nice condo complex with lots of walking opportunities. When it comes to caring for pets in their own home, I can follow any directions you'd like. I definitely prefer to stay with pets in their own home so they can feel more comfortable, unless they have an issue with that.

Information Tate M. would like to know about your pet

Definitely let me know if your pet has any special needs I'll need to attend to. Let me know what their personality is like, what I should watch out for if they're cautious around new people, have separation anxiety/anxiety of any sort, and anything else you feel I should know. ☆Note: I have had lots of miscommunication in the past from owners on if their pet gets anxious/stressed when they leave their fur baby alone with me, so please be sure to do your research on this topic and alert me of any signs to watch out for, and what plan you have in place for if a pets stress levels get out of hand for me! Again, I am a Vet Tech and a big advocate for Fear-Free protocols, so if you would like any advice on how to approach these situations, just ask!

A typical day

🐩Walks consist of safe places that are also interesting and engaging for the dog. We can go to dog parks if possible, play with all the dogs' favorite toys, and snuggle on cold nights. 🐈‍⬛For my kitty friends, lots of chin/ear scratches, butt pats and plenty of attention will be in order! Playing with the best feather toy, laser pointer, basic string, or whatever will entertain us both for hours!

Pet care experience

I have been taking care of friends and family's pets since I could stay home by myself. I worked full-time for over a year for a pet sitting/dog walking company and learned a lot. I now currently work as a Registered Veterinary Technician and have been a in the vet field for over 5 years now. I care very deeply for animals. I'm quite confident and knowledgeable with exotic pets as well, such as birds, reptiles, rodents, etc. I feel confident in emergencies and I know CPR/Basic and Advanced Life Saving procedures for almost all small animal pet types. I also have experience with horses.

It was so nice to know our babies were in safe hands while we were out of town! We came home to a cared for house and it was so nice to have peace of mind on our trip! Thanks so much for taking care of our girls and keeping us updated along the way!

She was amazing! We have a very shy dog and she was willing to meet with us several times so that our girl could warm up to her. I appreciate Tate very much!
