I currently work part-time from home as a freelancer, and I also share responsibilities with my partner as the on-site manager of our building. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I’m usually able to accommodate most pet parents’ requests.

I live in a small apartment with my partner, so I prefer to care for pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable. I do my best to follow your house rules and always clean up after myself—my goal is to make sure you come back to happy pets and a tidy home. If I’m doing dog walking or drop-ins, please let me know ahead of time if your restroom is off-limits—I drink a lot of water, and sometimes my bladder has a mind of its own 😅. I’m super careful with doors, gates, and anything that could lead to an accidental escape. I’ve cared for pets with strict routines, medication needs, and even insulin injections. If your pet requires medical care, just walk me through the steps (a video is super helpful!), and I’ll make sure it’s handled with care. Just a heads-up—there’s an additional charge of $10–$20 per visit or day depending on the level of care involved. When I house-sit, I stay overnight and make sure your pets get everything they need—walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, and company. Some days I’m home all day; other times, I may need to step out for errands or quick appointments. If your pet can’t be left alone for more than 3–4 hours at a time, please let me know in advance so I can see if I’m the right fit and plan accordingly. In those cases, the booking rate may be higher. My top priority is always making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
Information Tassia C. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences here! Just give me a heads-up about any quirks, habits, or things your dog might need a little extra help with—that way I can make sure they feel totally at home with me. I’ll also ask you to leave a hard copy with any important info: your pet’s routine, house rules, expectations, and anything else you think I should know. Also, how they tend to act around other animals and humans. It really helps me give them the best care possible!
A typical day
If I’m house-sitting, I’ll move into your home for the time you booked me and care for your pets like they’re my own. I adjust my routine to match theirs as closely as possible. I’m a morning person—usually up by 7:30—so our day starts early with a walk and breakfast. Then it’s work time for me (from home), mixed in with playtime, potty breaks, lunch, more walks… you get the idea!

Your Pet's New Best Friend!
Pet care experience
I recently moved to Seattle from Orange County, CA, but my journey with pets began long before the move. Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals, and I started pet-sitting around the age of 20—about 15 years ago. I understand how sensitive dogs can be to change, so I always prioritize making them feel comfortable, welcomed, and loved. During my years in college, I joined an NGO in Brazil, called "Confraria Miados e Latidos" (Meowning & Barks) focused on rescuing stray animals. My responsibilities included maintaining clean boarding areas, feeding and socializing with the animals, and helping at fundraisers to promote adoption. I have an extensive understanding of dog behavior and training, as I’ve been studying to become my future dog 's trainer. Dogs need consistency and a routine to thrive. Whether it’s basic training for puppies or specialized care for senior pets, I’m dedicated to meeting their unique needs. I love taking dogs on long walks—15-20 minutes in the morning and about 45 minutes at night. These walks are not just for exercise but also for mental stimulation, allowing them to sniff around and explore. I can promise you that your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I’m here to provide reliable, loving care for your furry family members. A little about me and why I don't have dogs (yet): Growing up, I always had pets around, but life took me on quite the journey over the past 15 years. From moving states to pursue my college education to participating in an exchange program from Brazil to the USA, life's been quite erratic. However, I finally settled down four years ago when I got married. Initially, my partner was afraid of dogs, so we didn't immediately add one to our family. But now, after some time, she feels ready to welcome a furry friend into our lives. So, very soon, we're planning to add another member to our family! <3 This is how you can pronounce my name: TA-see-uh SUR-kay-ruh
Reviews

Tassia was our regular walker for our Golden puppy Leo from the time he was six months old until he was just over two years old and her care was exceptional! We were so grateful to have her as part of our pet care team and will miss her / are wishing her well as she is taking time to visit family abroad. We hope to work with Tassia again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for pet care!

Excellent, as always! I could not recommend more.

The dogs looked like they had a great time with Tassia!

Tassia was incredible with our little man. I’m so grateful for the way she asked questions if/when she had them and she walked out the hour he needs each day. 10/10 would recommend.
