Every pet is different, so I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. Some dogs want to play the second I walk in, others need a few minutes of just sitting on the floor before they trust me enough to say hi. Same with cats, some will greet me at the door, others watch from a distance for the first visit, and that’s completely fine. I go at their pace, while staying mindful of safety, keeping dogs on leash near roads and making sure doors and windows are secure for cats. Once we’re comfortable together, I stick to your routine exactly as you’ve set it up, feeding times, walk routes, so your home feels the same as always, just with me there instead of you.

I love keeping pets active and happy. For dogs, we’ll start with a good walk to burn some energy, then play or have some cuddle time. For cats, I like interactive play with wand toys or feather teasers, plus plenty of quiet cuddle time. I also mix in some mental stimulation, like sniffing games for dogs or puzzle feeders for cats. It all depends on what your pet enjoys most!
