Pet care experience

Experienced Dog Lover Ready to Help

Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned and cared for three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs of all sizes and breeds — from small terriers to larger dogs like pit bulls — and feel confident handling a wide range of temperaments. I’m happy to provide: • Walks tailored to your dog’s energy level • Feeding and routine care • Medication (depending on type) • Baths and brushing • Calm, attentive care for anxious or special needs pets • Plenty of love and companionship Beyond dogs, I have 20+ years of experience with cats. I’ve volunteered with Homeless Cat Network and fostered for Coastside Feral Care. Fun fact: Every animal I’ve cared for or owned has been a rescue — I have a special place in my heart for them and understand the extra patience and care they sometimes need. ________________________________________ 🐾 Why pet parents choose me • Experience with multiple breeds and temperaments • Comfortable with reactive and special needs dogs • Firsthand experience with seizure care • Cat care expert with volunteer/foster background • Calm, patient, and highly attentive

Taryn was awesome! We were traveling to Pescadero for the day, with my daughter, son in-law and grandpuppies, but didn't want to leave them in the car while we had lunch and walked the town. Taryn met us at the restaurant and took the dogs to a nearby play area. She was on time, professional, and so caring with the pups. There human mommy was nervous to leave them, but felt comfortable with Taryn. We had a relaxing lunch, and the pooches came back happy and tired! Thanks Taryn for your professionalism, it added so much to our special day.

Both Red and Shadow are very, VERY SWEET pups. I have worked with dogs professionally for over 15 years and these two pups are some of the best dogs I’ve ever met. Red has a sassy attitude but loves love. Shadow can be shy but warms up quickly. Very well behaved and good dogs. Love them both so much!!!!!!

I’m open to all breeds. I’d like to know anything behavioral issues that might effect our time outside the house. Does your dog have leash aggression, do they like other dogs, have they bitten anyone or a dog before. I understand that dogs can be stress so I don’t want to do anything to make them feel uncomfortable or scared.
