I can’t take pets in my own home, so I would be caring for them at their own home. I would make sure to check in with their parents about physical boundaries (spaces they’re allowed in, if they’re allowed on the furniture, and any times that I should leave them alone, like at mealtimes, etc.). My primary concern is making sure your pet feels safe with me, regardless of their age, breed, disability, etc. If your pet is hard of hearing or blind, tips that are specific to helping them navigate are great! I like personal details and things that the dogs are used to having when their parents are home. That helps them feel safer. For instance, my dad’s dog Riley will only start to sleep if she is tucked into a blanket and it is covering all but her nose. Then she sighs and goes to sleep. My sister’s dog is a rescue that has severe anxiety. Jax needs to be in an enclosed space, so when she travels, he has a little pop-up tent that he sleeps in instead of his crate. And one of my regular client's dogs are created whenever I leave the house and at bedtime. They get "house" treats when going into their kennel, after which I turn down the lights and put some soothing noise on for them. These personal details are great to be aware of! I also make sure to know the names, numbers, and addresses of their veterinarian and emergency contacts. Any routines or schedules I need to be aware of, like medication, cleaners, appointments, will be something I check in about.
Information Taryn L. would like to know about your pet
I need to know basic info, like how big/weight, exercise needs and food schedule. How they walk is important, like I’d they are used to a harness and what type, or a chain collar, etc. Also, if they are in training or not. If they are, please let me know what they are working on and how I can support them.
A typical day
I like to walk the dogs in their comfort zone, like in their neighborhoods or on their usual routes. We will go to parks, run around, and socialize! I like to cuddle with pets as well, so if you are okay with them on the furniture or in bed, that's great with me! If not, please let me know and I'll make sure to enforce that boundary.

Loving & fun care for your dogs!!
Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Taryn! I live north of Seattle in the Shoreline area, and I work as a dog walker and pet sitter, occasionally doing graphic design and photography work for fun! Growing up, I had two English Bull Terriers, named Angie and Lulu. my grandparents had Mini Poodles, Great Danes, English Mastiffs, and Bull Terriers throughout my childhood. Not only have I lived with dogs for almost my entire life, but I have also taken care of them- dog walking, pet sitting- since I was 13. Animals me so happy! I can hang out with the dogs and just relax, or walk and play with them, take them to the park, do anything! Animals release endorphins, and are wonderful companions. In addition to dog care, I also provide cat care! We play, I give them cuddles (if they want them), and lots of love!! For pets that require medication, I can administer topical and oral medications. I love animals of all sizes and ages. Whether they want to run around and are super high energy, or would rather cuddle and be a little lazier, I’m happy if they’re happy. Your pets will get lots of love and care from me!!
Reviews

Taryn was a fantastic pet sitter! She was very friendly, professional, and gave my two senior cats excellent loving care while I was away. I would book her again.

Taryn did a great job.

Taryn is great. She is very thorough and takes great care of my dogs

Taryn did a wonderful job taking care of our massive lab, as always. Bosco is always excited to see her and he gets so much love and attention when Taryn watches him.
