Hi, I'm Taryn! I'm based in Nether Edge, Sheffield, and I run The Peak Pack, a local dog walking and pet care service. I'm excited to get to know dogs (and their humans) here on Rover. I owned a rescue dog who was reactive, so I understand first-hand what it takes to build trust with a nervous or anxious dog, the patience, consistency, and really paying attention to what they're telling you. I've also spent time supporting an established local dog walker, learning the ropes of managing multiple dogs safely and confidently on a real working round. Alongside regular solo and group walks, I specialise in Peak District adventure walks - longer, more stimulating walks out in the countryside for dogs who need more than a lap of the local park. Every walk is built around a stimulation checklist, so it's genuine physical and mental enrichment, not just exercise. I also offer day care, house sits, and cat sitting. Whether your dog needs a calm solo stroll or a proper adventure, I'll treat them exactly how I'd want my own pets treated, with patience, plenty of fuss, and a good sniff around wherever they like. Sheffield's on the doorstep of the Peak District, so we're never short of lovely places to explore. I'm fully insured, Canine First Aid certified, and a NarpsUK member. A free meet-and-greet is always welcome before we book anything, so your dog can get comfortable with me first.

Safety, trust & environment
I follow your instructions exactly (feeding times, walk routes, medication, house rules), keep your home secure at all times, and send photo updates throughout the visit or stay so you always know how things are going. I also use another app called Walkies which shows you the GPS route of our walks and gives you real time updates. I'm fully insured, Canine First Aid certified, and a NarpsUK member, so you can trust I'm prepared to handle any minor injuries or emergencies calmly and confidently. I also have hands-on experience with a reactive rescue dog and, more recently, my own kitten so I bring real understanding to nervous, energetic, or young pets alike.

Schedule
I'm fully flexible for dog walking — available weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends. Peak District adventure walks and weekend Peak day care run alongside my regular walks, with day care specifically at weekends. With at least a week's notice, I can also accommodate occasional weekday and weekend house sits, staying at your home to look after your pet while you're away. I also offer cat sitting and visits. Just let me know your regular schedule or upcoming dates and I'll do my best to fit around it.

- Let me know if your pet has any special needs, allergies, medication, or particular behaviours I should take into account - the more I know in advance, the better prepared I can be from our very first meeting. This includes things like reactivity to other dogs or people, recall reliability if off-lead walks are wanted, and for unspayed females, whether they're currently in season. I don't have a strict breed preference - my own dog was a Boarder Collie and I love active breeds similar in nature, he was a reactive rescue dog, so I'm genuinely comfortable working with dogs who need a bit more patience or understanding, not just easy-going ones. My focus is more on energy level and temperament fit: I especially love working with active, energetic dogs who benefit from longer, more stimulating adventure walks, but I'm happy to chat through whether we're a good match for any dog, regardless of breed.
