Making tails wag since day one
Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember-I have lived with cats and dogs for over 34 years, so at this point I basically speak fluent “pet.” I’m the kind of person who will stop to say hi to every dog on a walk (and probably remember their name better than the owner). I’m active, outdoorsy, and genuinely happiest when I’m walking, playing, or just hanging out with animals. I’ve also taken dog training classes with my own pups, so I’ve picked up helpful skills around behaviour, communication and positive reinforcement. I’m patient, attentive, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is simple: keep your pet safe, happy and loved-and make sure they’re excited to see me again next time you need a sitter.

Riley’s stay with Taryn couldn’t have been better! I could tell from her photos and comments that they were both having a fabulous time! Riley even got to go to a SuperBowl party! I’ll be booking with Taryn whenever I can in the future. <3

Taryn is a wonderful puppy sitter. She is extremely familiar with puppies and their "antics". Taryn brings out the best in your puppy with kindness and encouragement. My 4 month old puppy, Emmy, absolutely loved Taryn, and I will ask Taryn to puppy sit for me as often as she is available.
My 14 years old yorkie just came back from her loving care with lots of energy! Looked like he had a great vacation with her! Thank you Taryn:)
Taryn is great with quick responses and easy communication. She provided a great summary of the walk happenings and added some really nice pics.
Taryn was great and very professional! Harley seemed to have a great time on her walk, and as an extra bonus got to meet a new dog friend to keep her busy and socialize. Would definitely use Taryn again in a heartbeat :)

Schedule
I’m currently working part-time, which leaves my days very flexible and open for walks, visits and pet sitting. I also plan my week in a way that keeps my schedule consistent and reliable, so I can commit to regular walks or check-ins if needed. Because I already spend a lot of time being active and outdoors, incorporating pet care into my routine feels very natural for me. I genuinely enjoy it, so it never feels like “extra work”-it’s something I look forward to and prioritize.

I like to focus on keeping their routine as consistent, calm and comfortable as possible. I follow all instructions closely-whether it’s feeding schedules, walk times, medications, or specific habits the pet is used to. I also know how much I value receiving regular videos and pictures of my fur babies while I’m away, so I make sure to do the same for my clients. They are always well informed of their pets well-being.

A typical day
I like to tailor activities based on each pet’s energy level and personality. For active dogs, I love going on longer walks, trying a nice trail, and giving them plenty of time to sniff, run, and burn off energy. For more relaxed or older pets, I focus on calm companionship-slow walks, lots of affection, and mental stimulation through attention and interaction.
