I care for my cats when my parents are away. I never leave the house without cat and dog treats in case I encounter a few friendlies. I also look after other animals whenever the chance arises.

I live in shared accommodation so although I can’t care for your pets at my home, I’m more than happy to work anywhere where I have access to a comfortable and caring environment, to ensure your animal feels safe and at ease.

Before accepting a job, I like to know any behavioural or physical issues the dog might have for their and my own safety, including feeding and walking times, usual daily routines, allergies or medicine needed.
A typical day
I often take dogs to their usual parks to keep their routine, at the times they are used to. I tend to keep all dogs on leash unless they have perfect recall and are trained for safety purposes. I make notes of all information and recommendations I am given by the client, the more information I have the better!

Hi! I’m Tara, I have been looking after animals for pleasure ever since I was little, I grew up around large dogs and farms. I started pet sitting professionally around 3 years ago and have looked after different animals, with different needs and/or behavioural issues. I have 2 family cats (they're not the first, nor the last), animals are a big part of my life. No matter your pets needs, they will be in safe hands. Feel free to ask me anything you're curious about!

Tarja took the time out to meet our 65kg Mastiff Cross, Bailey, in advance of looking after him. She is very professional and was hugely understanding about our hesitancy to have a new person take the keys to our home and look after our boy in our absence. She asked all the right questions regarding his health and wellbeing and they got on really well on their first meeting. Tarja kept us updated throughout the day when she was looking after Bailey with pictures and his general demeanour. She got on famously with him and we will be making further bookings!
I felt so comfortable leaving my fur babies with Tarja and will be very happy to leave them with her again, anytime I need some help!
