I am a stay at home mom and my schedule overall is pretty flexible depending on requests. We have a large yard and several gated areas inside my house. Both my children are very good with animals of all kind and we treat each one like they are our own. My dogs are sweet as can be and would very much love to play with a new friend. I'm able to provide a structured routine for what my clients request and I'm very familiar with puppies and their need for nap times. I can tailor my approach as needed.

We treat any pet that stays w us like family. We have a secure fenced yard and gated areas (gated to basement and upstairs, a play pen (if desired) and gated area to the front entrance. Crates are preferred for overnight stays if we are watching a dog that isn't potty trained yet.

Please let me know what your dog(s) likes/dislikes are (e.g. kids, dogs, high prey drive) as this allows me to understand the baseline personality of your dog and keep them and others safe at all times. I believe in a solid stream of communication between myself and the owner at all times to provide the peace of mind while you are away.
A typical day
I believe that animals thrive on a schedule--following the schedule of the animal i am watching: a typical day for a dog would include a long walk (depending on location-neighborhoods/sidewalks or trails if nearby). Dog will be in a respectable distance from other dogs and maintained on leash with lots of praise for good manners. I would provide toy play time if that is what the dog loves to do (my dog LOVES fetch so i am well versed in that)

Hi! I'm Tarah, and I'd love to care for your pet like family. I have 35+ years of experience with animals, including previous work through a pet care agency and extensive personal experience caring for dogs of different ages and personalities. I provide attentive, loving care in a nice home environment with gated areas to separate animals if they need some down time or space and understand that every pet has unique needs and routines. I have 2 kiddos ages 7 and 9 who are very good with animals (especially my daughter (7). We have 2 mini schnauzers and a mini bernedoodle as well as a Maine Coon who also thinks she is a dog (if your dog is not cat friendly no worries my kitty has her own space upstairs we can put her away if so). We also have a nice sized fenced and secured yard as well My weekday schedule allows me to offer dependable daytime supervision, plenty of potty breaks, playtime, and personalized attention. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages throughout the day so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for from drop-off to pick-up. I am happy to take on regular clients with multiple dogs or one client at a time for each dog.
