Auntie Tarah

Hello and thank you so much for checking out my profile on Rover.com I wanted to update my profile and let both my new clients and previous clients know, I'm no longer working from home. I have a new FT40 job with different hours. I'm still M-F with weekends off, but I now have a commute to/from work. So please keep this in mind when figuring out if I'll be a good fit for you and your pet(s). Unfortunately I'm not able to drop in during the day, to let out/feed/provide medicine to a pet(s) during a lunch hour or anything like that. Later down the road there may be some more flexibility with this job and my schedule. As of now, we're short staffed and those options are on hold for the time being. I'll reply to you as soon as I'm able, just remember that I do have a FT job and it may take some time. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. I'm an animal lover but right now I don't have any pets of my own. This means I'm filled with lots of love to share with your pet(s). I don't have a family/kids, BUT I'm a sensational Auntie! I'm a non-smoker and I work FT, Monday-Friday and have weekends off. I'm not able to bring any animals into my home at this time, so I cannot offer that service option. Besides, pets are much more comfortable in their own environment...especially while their humans are away :) Please feel free to contact me even if you are outside of my 15 mile radius/area. Also if you could let me know what your major cross-streets are, so I know what area you're in and what my drive/travel time is like. I'm semi-flexible with the travel distance, so it never hurts to ask. I was raised in Arizona, so I'm pretty familiar with various areas of the valley. Growing up I had a indoor/outdoor cat, dog, hamster, rabbit and some fish... Not all at the same time though. Prior to Rover, I was registered with DogVacay. They merged with Rover a few years back. You'll see that I've had several/23 repeat clients, which I value and am very appreciative of. I've had lots of experience with the following breeds Husky's, Chihuahua's, Schnauzer's, Yellow-Lab's, yoriki's and a very special American Eskimo rescue! I even took in my best friends cat while she was pregnant! I had my cat at the time too, both of which were black cats & rescued from shelters. I'm both a cat and a dog person, they equally get lots of attention from me. I'm also familiar & comfortable with feeding crickets to various tank, environment creatures. However, snakes and feeding them is not in my comfort zone. One of my passions is photography! So I love capturing one-of-a-kind images for you to enjoy! I may take some videos of your pets and send those as well. Whether it be on a walk, a car-ride to someplace fun or just playing with their favorite toys at home :) Feel free to take a look at my reviews and see some feedback that I've received from both new to Rover clients and seasoned, repeat Rover clients! Please know too, that I require a meet and greet with all new bookings. This is for everyone's benefit and I think they're important. Please remember, that every sitter on Rover runs their business differently. So you may find other sitter's that don't require them. Thank you for reading my profile and I look forward to meeting you and you pet(s)!

Safety, trust & environment

I'm very aware of my surroundings, no matter where I am. I also check to make sure the doors are locked, more than once and even push on it... So that if there's a gust of wind or something, it doesn't blow open. I like to show that there's activity in your home. Which means turning on different lights, maybe opening window treatments from time to time. Perhaps have the tv/music on for the pet(s) when I'm not there... For both noise to show/make it seem like someone is home and for the pet(s) as well. Turning on/off front porch lights, checking the mail and letting you know of any packages that arrive.

If I could give Tarah 100 stars, I absolutely would! She was hands down the best dog sitter we could have asked for. Her communication was incredible from start to finish, and she kept us updated all week with the sweetest photos and videos that truly gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. What stood out most was how obvious it was that she genuinely loved our babies like they were her own. You could see how comfortable, happy, and well cared for they were in every update. She went so far above and beyond in every way, and it made all the difference. We truly couldn’t be more grateful. I would hire Tarah 100 times over without hesitation and recommend her to absolutely anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and exceptional. She is simply the best!

What an amazing experience! This is our first time using the Rover app. Our Dog Sitter, Tarah, communicated extremely well with us. She came over twice to meet and greet the dogs, get to know them, and get details. While we were gone, her communication was spot on, including the most gorgeous photos of our dogs. We can actually take these photos and print them off and they look like professional photography! Thank you, Tarah!

Tarah was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. We appreciated the regular updates and could tell our dogs were happy and relaxed in her care. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Tarah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive sitter.

Schedule

With my current work schedule it's easier for me to do bookings over the weekend. For example, Friday after work to Sunday. Otherwise, I may have to take time off work. If you live close enough to me, I can still work from home and then either stay the night/drop-in at your home. If you live in the Scottsdale area, then I wouldn't be able to work from home (San Tan Valley/Queen Creek area) during my booking with you. I can explain further if needed, when you message me.

Tarah can host up to 1 drop-in per day
One thing you can count on me not doing is giving any pet, people food... Unless it's something special that you have discussed with me and/or may have at home for them. For example, one of my regulars allows her dogs to have cantaloupe! Another one, her lil Frenchie loves baby carrots! She actually gets them on a day-to-day basis. If I'm having some pizza for lunch, I'm not going to share some with your fur babies... no matter how much they beg me for some. Even if you feed them pizza/other people food, I don't feel comfortable doing so. If your pet has medications and/or supplements etc, I like to have something typed/written up to reference. I've even had a client that made lil pre-made zip lock baggies with each dogs food. So they got the right amount of food and then they also put any meds pertaining to that certain dog, in that bag. It was a really good idea and makes it easy for both the client and the sitter... knowing that they are getting the right stuff and that also gives the owner peace of mind. Not that you have to do this, I'm just sharing that idea for something I've had experience with and find that it works well.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
