I work during the day around 5-8 hours on weekdays, and own my own online shop. I am very flexible, and can alway make time to check in. The hours I am available vary but I am free most nights and most weekends.

I always ask to know the vet office my clients go to and always have it on hand just in case of an emergency. I know things happen in the blink of an eye and always keep an eye out for the safety of the pets. I want my clients to have peace of mind when they leave, and know everything will be handled. I try to be as respectful as possible to the space, and leave it in the condition I found it in if not better.

A typical day
I enjoy playing with and petting dogs. I will go on walks if needed, and I do enjoy tossing toys for them. My favorite thing is for them to curl up by me while I work.

Pet care experience
I have been petsitting for family and friends since I was in highschool, and it has been a passion of mine ever since. I really enjoy meeting new animals and getting to see different breeds and personalities. I don’t mind cleaning up messes and doing what needs to get done. I aim to do everything to the best of my ability, for my safety and the safety of other animals. I have basic knowledge when it comes to giving medicine and working with older dogs. I don’t know how to train puppies unfortunately, though I have cared for some in the past.

I had less than a week notice before I had to leave for a 5 week long training but thankfully Tarah was able to commit to house sitting/watching my 3 cats while I was away. One of my cats has bad separation anxiety and needs a lot of love and care. She sent me nuanced updates related to house issues and observations about the kitties. She is very observant and detailed in her assessments on their daily behaviors. It’s evident she has a lot of knowledge about how to keep cats relaxed and happy and as VERY anxious cat mom I’m happy to report I was not worried at all about their care while being away for so long. Ultimately, I came back to a clean house and calm and happy cats 🙏🏻
Tarah takes great care of Sunny and is extremely helpful and great in communication.
Tarah is very thorough and caring. Her communication was great. She was amazing to work with and we’ll definitely use her again in the future.
