I undertand that different guests have different wants and needs. We have options to walk our road, 33 acre farm, or go to a nearby park or dog park. For others, they may simply want tv and belly rubs.

Pet care experience

*UPDATE* We now have a Furbo 360, so if we happen to be outside of the home while boarding your furbabies, we can always keep an eye on them, communicate, and even throw treats remotely! Animals are my passion! I majored in animal science in college and although I didn't make a career in that field, it's still my everyday life. I worked a year in a mixed practice vet clinic. My husband and I have 3 babies (one 6lb. chihuahua and 2 Great Pyrenees) of our own as well as a hobby farm of around 30 chickens and a few ducks. In May of 2019, we had to put down my 18 year old yellow lab mix because of complete kidney failure. I had her since 2006. I am very skilled at giving medications. My lab mix had to have daily pain meds, a previous chihuahua had to have meds for congestive heart failure, and our current chihuahua has seizures which required daily meds. Although I am not as active in it as I was, I used to foster for a local rescue group. We have fostered numerous dogs of various size and age. We still occasionally do some short term fostering when needed. I'm currently working full-time, but my husband and I have slightly different schedules. Usually, we are not at home between 8AM and 3PM, although there is always at least one scheduled potty break in the middle of the day. I'm off almost every federal holiday and all weekends. If your pet requires medications during the day, we will make sure to get them on time! I want your pet to be as comfortable and in a normal schedule as possible. We do not have a fenced in yard, but we are sure all visitors are secured on a leash before walking our 33 acres. There are also 2 nearby dog parks for kids that need to run free for a while. My husband and I enjoy daily walks, when possible, and love to have dogs accompany us. We allow medium and small size dogs on the couch, recliners, and beds. We have 3 large dog beds throughout the house and plenty of room to set up kennels/crates if needed. Our 2 chihuahuas are not typical. They want attention, are not bitey or barky. They enjoy sleeping and eating, then sleeping again. We have never had a problem bringing other dogs or cats in the house with them.
