Hello my name is Tara aka The Fursitter! I have over 7 years of experience working with animals. I’ve always had pets and taking care of animals is definitely something I both enjoy and am comfortable doing. I’ve worked as a Veterinary Assistant, attended Utica College as a Biology Major (I plan on going back to school and finishing soon!) and have learned a tremendous amount about taking care of a large variety of animals when I volunteered at my local shelter! In my free time I enjoy yoga, hiking, swimming, bike riding, hanging with my husband, reading and lots more! My husband and I are personal servants for two cats; Lois and Nia haha! Lois is super energetic and very affectionate! She enjoys exploring, playing and cuddling. :) Nia is a daddy’s girl! She enjoys laying on my husbands chest while staring deeply into his eyes and giving us baths. Throughout the years I’ve worked with a good variety of animals. I have experience caring for horses, alpacas, turtles, pigs, chickens rabbits and exotic animals!! I'm willing to pet sit for all pets!! When caring for your pet I provide excellent care and always treat them as if they were my own. A routine meet and greet is required before any booking. During that time we will go over feeding and walking schedules, emergency contact information and any other important instructions. During pet stays and dog walkings I like to stick to provided requests and routines for safety and a comfortable sitting while you’re temporarily away. I care for my clients fur children in their home. I find this to be best because I do have cats and also feel that they feel more comfortable and are happier!

Super helpful! Was able to help out last minute with a potty break so family could enjoy day out. Even checked his food and water dishes!

When I am caring for your fur child/children I make sure to schedule my day so it allows me to stick to your pets usual routine and also allows me to get my personal errands/work done.
