Hi, I’m Tara! I work full time on an early day shift, which leaves me available afternoons and evenings for some drop in visits, walks, and pet care. If you have any questions about my availability or scheduling, don’t hesitate to reach out. I understand that life (and pets!) can be unpredictable. I’ve lived with dogs my entire life and currently have one of my own. My experience spans every stage of life, from energetic puppies learning the ropes to senior dogs needing a little extra patience and specialized care. Whether your dog is happiest curled up on the couch or thrives with an active lifestyle, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m experienced with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities, including reactive dogs. I believe every dog deserves to feel safe and understood, and I always prioritize respecting their boundaries while keeping everyone involved safe. In addition to everyday pet care, I have experience with: * Senior dogs with mobility challenges * Medication administration * Canine insulin injections * Canine allergy injections * Puppies and basic puppy care * High-energy and working dogs * Dog sports and active canine lifestyles As a full time Healthcare worker, I’m comfortable following medication schedules, handling medications safely, and paying close attention to detail. You can trust that your pet’s health and routine will be taken seriously. I know emergencies happen, and whenever my schedule allows, I’m happy to work with families who need last minute bathroom breaks or drop in visits. Whether your dog wants to explore the neighborhood, play until they’re tired, practice good manners, or simply enjoy some company and cuddles, I’ll treat them like one of my own. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I know every dog is different, so I take the time to understand their personality, preferences, and any special instructions before each visit. During drop-in visits and walks, I treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, receives any requested meals or medications, gets plenty of exercise or enrichment. I have experience working with reactive dogs and always prioritize safe handling, respecting their boundaries, and avoiding situations that could cause unnecessary stress. With my background in healthcare, I’m also comfortable administering medications, including insulin and allergy injections, while following instructions carefully and safely. My goal is for you to feel confident knowing your pet is in caring, capable hands while you’re away.

Schedule
I understand that unexpected situations happen, so when my schedule allows, I’m happy to help with last-minute drop-in visits or bathroom breaks. I do my best to be flexible while making sure every pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I work full-time on an early day shift, which allows me to provide pet care during the afternoons and evenings throughout the week. I’m also available some weekends and can often accommodate additional visits with advance notice.

- Please let me know about your dog’s personality, routine, and any special needs before our first visit. I’d love to know what they enjoy, what makes them uncomfortable, and anything I can do to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Be sure to let me know about any medications, allergies, mobility concerns, reactivity, fears (such as thunderstorms or fireworks), escape tendencies, leash manners, or anything else that helps me provide the best possible care. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor my care to your dog’s individual needs.
