Hi! My name is Tara and I’m on this app just for cats! My whole world revolves around them! At home I have my girl Patty, who is truly my baby, so I understand the importance of having someone you trust to check in and give you peace of mind. Because of that, I promise to care for your cat as if they were my own, and to give you the same kind of updates and peace of mind that I would want if I were away from my Patty. That’s why I take the responsibility of caring for your cat seriously, and I’m fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates for an added layer of protection and peace of mind. My goal is always for your cat to be safe, comfortable and relaxed while you're away, so when you come back they're happy, calm, and full of positive energy. 💕 I’ve been cat sitting for over two years now, and in that time I’ve truly seen it all. I’ve cared for shy cats who need patience and gentle love, playful cats who want nonstop attention, seniors who appreciate extra care, picky eaters who turn their noses up at dinner, and even the occasional cat who tries to bully the others away from the food bowl. I’ve dealt with messy litter box situations, anxious cats, and everything in between. I am used to handling it all with patience and care. What I’ve learned throughout my experience is that every cat is completely different. Getting to know their personality and figuring out what makes them feel safe and comfortable is honestly one of my favorite parts of sitting. Some cats want space at first, some want to play the second you walk in, and some just want someone to sit with them for a little while. What sets me apart is that I genuinely love spending time with cats and making sure they feel relaxed while you’re away. I try to create a calm, stress free environment where they still get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection, but always at their pace. After doing this for a couple of years, I’ve gotten really good at reading their behavior and adjusting to what each cat needs.

I care for your kitties right in their home so they can stay comfortable and stress free. At the same time, I treat your home with respect, making sure everything stays as you left it, and double check that the doors are locked when I leave, so you can come back to your kitties and your home exactly as you expect. Every visit comes with a little photo shoot for the cats who like showing off for the camera. For the more private cats who would rather stay in their favorite hangout spots or watch from across the room, I still try to grab a few shots even if they're not in the mood to model that day! I always try to get some cute updates so you can see how they're doing while you're away.

We have a older kitty whose been abandoned twice by previous owners. He's never let either of us out of his sight for more then a few minutes, and we've never left him home alone for more then a few hours, and always taken him with on our trips. But this past weekend we had an important trip that we could not take him with! So I came to Rover looking for someone close by who could help us out. Lo and Behold, I discovered Tara who just happens to live in the same apartment complex as us and she LOVES cats! She came to meet ours, and he connected with her almost immediately so we hired her to come visit him while we were on our trip. We could tell from the pictures she sent us, that he was VERY happy to see her with each visit she gave him, and it certainly gave us some peace of mind knowing he was being well cared for by such a wonderful person! Tara always does a great job with our kitties. We highly recommend her. She takes very cute pics of the kitties and sends a great summary of the visit every time. She is very communicative and easy to work with. She definitely deserves this 5-star review!
Tara took great care of Windu while we were away. She gave him lots of love and cuddles, played with him and kept us updated with how he was doing. We felt at ease knowing he was taken care of while we were gone.

Tara was fantastic! She came once a day while I was on vacation and was always right on time. She sent updates and photos every visit so I never had to wonder how my cat was doing. She fed him, played with him, gave him treats, cleaned his litter, and made sure his water was topped off, basically covered everything. What really got me was how quickly he bonded with her! Seeing him so happy and engaged with her in the photos while I was away put my mind completely at ease. I'd trust her with my cat again in a heartbeat and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who actually cares!

Schedule
Cat sitting is my main focus, so I build my schedule around the cats I care for. Because of that, I'm able to be really flexible and reliable when it comes to visits and giving them the attention the need. You can count on me to be available every day and can come by in the morning, afternoon, and/or evening if needed. I can also stop by up to three times a day so your cat gets the care and attention they're used to. For cats who aren't on a strict medication or feeding schedule, I prefer to keep visits flexible or within a time window. Since I travel within a five mile radius in all directions, this allows me to plan my route efficiently.

- Please let me know ahead of time if your cat requires any medication, as well as any allergies or specific dislikes. I would also like to know if your cat is shy or has any fears so that I am prepared when I come to meet them :)
