We walk our golden boy twice a day and go to our neighborhood parks and dog parks as needed/when helpful! We love to play and engage pups in our daily activities! Again our golden is very old so we can stay in or take your fur baby out as much as little as your prefer :)

We have our own home and do not share our space with any other people so your pets safety is 1000% controlled and kept to our family. We do not accept more than one dog at a time and only socialize with our own golden. We have an 8 yr old daughter and a newborn baby both of whom are used to a Golden’s furry lifestyle and doggy tails in their faces :)

Information Tara N. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know a few things about your pup to make for an easy and enjoyable experience for them while in my care: -Any fears, anxiety to work with (thunder, other dogs, children etc. As we have two children we can’t take any dogs with any issues around kids apologies!) -Any diet restrictions, and/or allergies (if you'd like me to change food bowls or switch out water, we keep our dogs food up high when he’s not eating etc) -Amount of exercise/play you prefer we do (older dogs welcome too!) -Walking habits - a puller? Any harnesses we need to get familiar with? (we use EasyWalk) -Do you prefer we go to the park, how are they in cars? Happy to support older doggies into cars - ours can’t jump anymore so we’re used to supporting him and his hips :) -Any training you are doing we should stay consistent with? (Especially with puppies but it's never too late to keep good behavior in mind!) -Obviously vet and emergency contact info No breed preferences whatsoever! We have taken care of breeds from 3lbs 100+lbs and have found personalities and age are more important to know about than breeds :)
A typical day
I love to snuggle and play with your pup! My husband and I both go on walks with our golden twice a day often with our daughter around our neighborhood in Newton which is full of quiet streets and nice parks where other dog owners meetup! I am on maternity leave and am home almost all day and my husband works from home as well so your pup has a lot of cuddles and attention!

From hikes to dog parks- your dog child comes first and I believe in doing everything to make him or her happy and healthy. I take several pictures of your dog every walk so you can expect several posts of everything we are doing together throughout the day, and we have our own sweet very lazy and calm 12 year old Golden Retriever who can join in on walks or stay home if you prefer. He is very laid back, patient, and especially gentle with small/old dogs as he is VERY submissive. (Larger, aggressive, dominant dogs tend to scare him a little as he doesn't like to rough house and is fearful of vocal/growling/barking pooches.) I am all about playing and cuddles but both my husband and I are very serious about sticking to any training you have already laid out or would like us to continue - just so they don't pick up any bad habits while on their doggy walks. It's up to you! We've taught our pup over 35 commands so I'm happy to help out if there's anything you are working on at home. :)

Sierra had a fantastic stay with Tara and family; plenty of playtime, cuddling, and attention. We appreciated getting all the photos; communication was great throughout the stay! We would love to have her stay there again!
What a lovely family. It was hard to leave our wonderful dog, but we were so happy to see the fabulous care, attention, exercise, and fun lavished on him. We received plenty of photos and salient communication about meals, walks, human and canine interaction. It was as much his vacation as it was ours. We enthusiastically recommend Tara and her fantastic family to care for your pet.
Tara and her husband took amazing care of Clover! She looked like she was having so much fun everyday from the pictures she sent me. It was really appreciated to have so many photos sent every day to see how happy Clover was. She got so much exercise every day and lots of attention!
