Dogs have been a central joy in my life for nearly 30 years. I’ve had two of my own (a 75-pound German Shorthaired Pointer and a 13-pound Silky Terrier), worked briefly as a professional dog walker, and been the go-to sitter for friends and family since the 90s. I’m certified in dog walking, experienced with both large and small breeds, and comfortable giving oral medications. I have a soft spot for senior pups, anxious personalities, and dogs who need a little extra understanding. I bring a playful, attentive energy and a deep respect for each dog’s unique nature. Your pup will stay in a quiet, pet-free home in Pacifica, just minutes from coastal trails and foggy squirrel surveillance zones. The yard isn’t fully fenced, so outdoor time is always supervised or on-leash — no unsanctioned adventures allowed. Snuggles are unlimited. My throw pillows are negotiable.

Tara and Kevin took such great care of our dog, Butter. They are both so friendly and clearly love animals. I felt reassured knowing they were taking good care of him. Tara and Kevin were life savers for us when our flight got cancelled and we needed to extend Butter's stay. Their communication and updates on Butter were incredibly helpful and appreciated. We hope to have Butter stay with Tara in the future and highly recommend her care!

Tara was amazing! My dog leans quite anxious so I always get nervous dropping him off with new sitters, but she was so patient with both him and me and so kind. She listened to all my particular requests for him, and I felt very safe and assured leaving him in her hands. My dog loved his stay, 10/10 sitter and will definitely be taking him to her again!

I am so pleased with the care given to our baby. She was so spoiled being with Tara. We worried leaving her but she looked way more relaxed than leaving her in the pet hotel we usually send her to. She had Tara’s full attention and used that to her advantage to get treats and pets. We could use more pictures and updates but that’s because we are obsessed with our girl.

I’m a ceramics artist working from home here in Pacifica, with a routine built around slow mornings, creative afternoons, and plenty of time for dogs. I’m available all day, every day for walks, meals, meds, or spontaneous games of fetch. Whether you’re heading out for a weekend trip, commuting to the city, or just need some weekday support, I’m here to make sure your pup is cared for, comfortable, and only mildly spoiled. I offer flexible booking windows for drop-ins, daycare, and walks. I only take one client at a time, so your pup gets my full attention!

Your dog will be cared for in a quiet, pet-free home in Pacifica. I don’t have a fully fenced yard, so all outdoor time is supervised or on-leash. I tailor care based on each dog’s needs, whether they prefer peaceful naps, playful interaction, or extra support for anxiety or age. I maintain a calm, consistent environment and always respect your dog’s routines, sensitivities, and quirks. You can count on me for gentle handling, lots of love, and clear communication throughout your pup’s stay. And yes, I talk to dogs like they’re people because they absolutely are.
A typical day
I tailor each day to your dog’s energy and personality. We’ll explore Pacifica’s trails, sniff every mailbox in sight, play enrichment games, and of course, pause for couch snuggles and belly rubs. Whether your pup is a zoomie machine or a professional lounger, I’ll make sure they feel engaged, safe, and mildly adored (okay, totally adored).
