Pet care experience
Fur the love of pets 🐾
I’ve always had a soft spot for animals of all kinds, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know their different personalities and quirks. My own dog is a certified Therapy Dog, so I’ve put time into learning how to understand and work with dogs—not just love them. I’ve completed dog training with my own pup, including a course focused specifically on dog behaviour. I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and quirks. I’ll take the time to get to know yours, follow your instructions, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Basically, I’m here because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—and getting paid to be around animals is a pretty great arrangement. 🩷

Safety, trust & environment
I will take the time to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, walks, medication, house rules, and any specific needs or preferences their pet may have. I understand that every animal is different, so I let them set the pace and give them time to become comfortable with me. I’m attentive to their behaviour and wellbeing, and I’ll keep owners updated with messages and photos so they know their pet is happy and safe while they’re away. I’m respectful of clients’ homes and always make sure everything is left clean, secure, and just as I found it\.
Ratings and reviews
Tara is incredibly responsible, caring, and trustworthy with pets. She absolutely adores her beautiful, friendly, and loving golden retriever, Capo. She treats every animal like her own, is attentive to their needs, and provides lost of love, patience, and attention. I would highly recommend Tara to anyone looking for a loving and dependable pet caregiver.
Tara has a heart of gold and has always adored all animals big and small. She has been the sole trainer for her goofy and loveable golden Capo, and she accompanied him on trips to hospice to help soothe the lovely people during their time spent there. She has watched my own dog like its her own, and sends me constant updates and pictures (even though I know he's in the best hands). She is great caregiver, and has an amazing fenced in yard to boot! Highly recommend Tara! <3

Schedule
I’m happiest when life is a mix of staying busy and having some time to slow down. I’m easygoing, responsible, and genuinely enjoy the company of animals. I’m excited to use some of my extra time to do something I love while helping out other pet owners when they need an extra hand.

- I’ll tailor each visit or walk to your pet’s needs, personality, and usual routine. Before we get started, I’ll ask you about their behaviour, preferences, and any important routines so I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. It would be helpful to know how your pet behaves around people, children, other animals, and unfamiliar environments. I’d also like to know about any fears, triggers, separation anxiety, reactivity, guarding behaviours, escape attempts, or other habits I should be aware of. Please also let me know what they enjoy, what helps them settle, and how they usually communicate that they are uncomfortable, tired, hungry, or need to go outside.
