Availability
My schedule allows me to be available most any time of the day, many times within a few hours of requests. Overnight stays are no problem so long as I have a clean place to sleep and can leave during the day to take care of others and my own.

Safety, trust & environment
Since I have had many pets in my life, (many living very long, healthy lives: 10 dogs, 11 cats, five Luv-Buns, 10 birds of all sizes (S-XL), three turtles, two iguanas, two pet mice, many types of fish, and many, many fosters, including a pot-bellied pig) I can handle any type of pet you have. In addition, I have previous vet-tech experience. I wipe out bowls and give fresh water before leaving and make sure your house is in the same condition (or better) before I do. To ensure that I am able to take care of your pet(s) and home as well as you do, I will always ask for a detailed care sheet, regardless of how recently we had our meet & greet.
Information Tara M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know your pet’s temperament, activity level, social interactions with people/other animals, and instructions on how to properly care for your pet(s): feeding and potty schedules, medications and any other information you think might be helpful and/or important. Again, I will always ask that you leave a detailed care sheet as well. I am also open to meeting first to see if we would be a good fit and go over any details. Please reach out if you have any questions. Thanks! **Please note that I am unable to do daytime-sittings for less than the hourly rate for drop-in visits. In addition, my service area is within 15mins of the Cedar Bluff Post Office: 9039 Cross Park Dr. Knoxville, TN 37923 Lastly, caring for plants and/or other animals (such as pocket pets) range from $5-$15, required care-depending, as this takes away from time spent with your pet(s) and may result in an extended visit.
A typical day
Seeing animals happy makes me happy and I love to play with dogs/cats while they're in my care! I respect whether you want to have treats given to your fid or not and will check with you before offering any of my own. I also offer 15min car rides around your neighborhood during a walk or drop-in for an additional $10.

Pet care experience
Hi! I'm a lifetime animal lover and currently have six fids: a dog (Arlo), two cats (Auggie & Squeaky Cheese), two luv-buns (Emmie & Dutch), and a B&G Macaw (Corona, a.k.a. "Trouble"), though I have had many other kinds of pets in my life. I have been doing pet sitting full-time (24/7) since December of 2022 and take my job caring for your pet(s) very seriously. I am also heavily involved in many facets of wildlife rehab, spending most of my free time helping even more animals when not spending time with my own. I am reliable with a flexible schedule and am not intimidated by L/XL, overly-zealous or “difficult” pets (pulling, excitable, scared/nervous, mouthing, poor social skills, etc.), and my continued experience working with wildlife supports this.

Tara is always great with our dog. Sends pictures and updates.

Tara is the best!

What would we do without Tara! Our boys absolutely love her! And she is so helpful and informative to their parents! We are so thankful for her!

Tara once again did such a wonderful job with our Woji! Loves him like he is one of her own. Would recommend her to everyone!
