I truly enjoy spending time with animals—whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, or simply keeping them company. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to providing consistent, loving care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. Although I’m based in Granville, I also spend time in the Queensbury area and am happy to offer services in both locations and surrounding towns.

It’s important for me to know each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. This includes their energy level, favorite activities, and whether they’re shy, nervous, or reactive in certain situations. I also like to know if they have any medical conditions, allergies, or need medication. For walks, it’s helpful to know how they behave on a leash and how they do around other animals. The more I know, the better I can care for them like they’re my own!
A typical day
When I’m caring for pets, I love to keep them active, engaged, and happy! For dogs, this includes fun walks where they can explore their surroundings, playtime with their favorite toys, and plenty of belly rubs and attention. If they enjoy games like fetch or tug-of-war, I’m always ready to play! When I care for cats, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and entertained. I spend time playing with their favorite toys—like feather wands, laser pointers, or anything that lets them chase and pounce. I also give them plenty of love and attention (if they’re the cuddly type), or space and quiet time if they prefer it that way. Every cat has a unique personality, so I always follow their lead to keep them happy and stress-free.

Cat care experience
As a proud cat parent to five amazing kitties—Luna, Patch, Cupcake, Atlas, and Cleo—cats are a big part of my everyday life. I’m experienced in feeding routines, litter box care, medication, playtime, and giving cats the space (or snuggles!) they need. I’ve also cared for my in-laws’ cats over the years, so I understand how to make feline friends feel safe and at home while their humans are away. Whether your cat is shy, playful, or a little sassy, I’ll treat them like one of my own.

Tara-lynn is great! She did drop in visits for my dog and 2 cats while I was away for a few days. My dog Kayla is getting older and has some extra needs, especially when her normal routine changes. Tara-lynn took care of everything and the house looked great when I got home. I will definitely be booking her again soon.
Tara-Lynn is the best dog sitter I've ever had. She took excellent care of my dog Lola and sent me plenty of pictures. She also did not leave any trace of a mess in my place.
Tara-Lynn was amazing with my dogs. They felt comfortable with her after a short period of time and she took great care of them while we were away. I would recommend her to anyone who is nervous about leaving their babies as I was - she kept me updated and sent pics. I truly appreciated that I was able to relax and enjoy my time away without worry when it came to my boys.
