OVER 50 YRS. CARING 4 PETS!⭐ SITTER

ASK ABOUT MY 1ST RESPONDER AND MILITARY & VETERAN DISCOUNT!!! I've had a dog since I was 18 months old. I've rescued dogs since I was a teenager (a really long time!) My dogs are all rescues. I am retired and Pet sitting is my primary source of income. I'm an Ovarian cancer survivor and have no children. There aren't any distractions or "emergencies" while caring for your precious furbaby: They are my #1 priority!! Caring, rescuing and loving dogs (all animals really) is a life long passion. I was the kid bringing home all the stray animals I could find! I'll care for your furbabies as if they are my own. I am an active lobbyist for animal rights. I'm also a member of the "ASPCA" whose main purpose is to make every animal shelter in this country "No Kill". Each year, millions of perfectly healthy, adoptable animals are euthanized in the nation's shelters. The effort to change these statistics seems a gargantuan task; but we start within local communities promoting spay and neuter programs, assist in the establishment of low cost veterinary services for pet owners and advocate for pet friendly rental housing. I have personally rescued hundreds of companion animals in high kill shelters who were scheduled to be euthanized. I raised funds for their Veterinary care, treatment, and fostered them until a loving, furever home could be found. I've saved Pitbulls to Pomeranians, Chihuahuas to Chows and Mastiffs to Mutts: I have a special place in my heart for special needs and senior pets. I have risked my life to save an animal from a busy freeway, and have coaxed scared, abused, abandoned souls to safety from the Everglades National Conservation area where people from South Florida regularly dump their unwanted pets to fend for themselves. Unfortunately, the majority fall victim to speeding cars and trucks, Alligators and other predators, shot or poisoned by farmers or simply die from starvation. "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." - Mahatma Gandhi

Pets

A typical day

I would like to meet you and your pet(s) before the actual sitting job begins. I want to learn about his or her personality, preferences, likes and dislikes. It's important to maintain a continuum of care when you're away. Dogs are family members and mine are like children. Yours are no different!

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
No females in heat
Tara can host up to 2 pets per night
No breed discrimination here! All breeds, sizes and ages are given the love and attention they rightly deserve. I always want to learn as much as possible about their feeding schedule, potty times and where they prefer to sleep. I share my bed with multiple pups every night, so cuddling and spoiling your furbaby is top priority!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
