I have been caring for cats and dogs of all ages for the majority of my life, from young animals to seniors. I base my care on each animal's specific needs by listening to what you tell me at the meet and greet and, later, my own experience. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter, where I foster and work in the cat room and the nursery with puppies and kittens. Through the shelter, I have taken several trainings to increase my skills in body language, enrichment, first interactions and more! I hope to continue to build my skills at the shelter. Through the shelter, my own pets and the pets I sit for, I have experience with giving medication--both pills and needles. While I try to keep a pet's routine, I even have a few tricks I've learned through the years to make medicating less stressful!

I follow your routine in your home to ensure the pup or cat feels as safe as possible. Animals miss their families when you're gone, and I try to make that time as easy as possible by keeping them on their schedule!

Tara came through within a day when our petsitter had to cancel for medical reasons, two days before our travel. Very quickly she gave us confidence that she could take care of a big dog and two cats - and she did! We got regular updates and pictures showing happy, content pets and when my flight was delayed, she came back to walk the dog that night, without hesitation. To us, it's all about the pets and their care and safety, and without hesitation I would use Tara again.
When you have 2 dogs, one of whom is skittish, and you need to find the person who has extra patience, a kind heart, a soft voice….Tara is the one! She is beyond flexible with her schedule, diligent with note taking for the best of care of your pet(s), and very communicative! Thank you Tara for everything; we will see you soon🐾
We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our dog, Ollie! Tara went above and beyond—sending updates and photos, giving our dog lots of love, and making sure every detail was handled. It’s obvious she truly loves animals and treat them like family. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again—highly recommend!
Tara is extremely patient with my anxious cats and does a wonderful job giving them their space while still making sure they’re well cared for. Jasmine and Jasper usually hide whenever anyone comes over, but that doesn't faze Tara at all. She uses their food, water and litter boxes to make sure they are okay and to give us frequent updates. Recently, Jasmine has even started to warm up to her, occasionally coming out for quick peeks, which we love! I would absolutely recommend Tara to anyone looking for a thoughtful, dependable pet sitter, especially if you have shy or anxious pets.
Tara has stayed with my 11 year old puggle, Millie, several times. She has popped in for quick walks, but also has stayed overnight for lengthier trips. Tara has been great! My dog has some health issues and Tara is able to stick to her medication schedule. She follows all of my directions to make sure that she sticks to Millie's regular routine to minimize anxiety while we are gone. She spends time at the house with Millie and isn't just in and out. Millie always appears well cared for when we get home. I would definitely recommend Tara for your dog watching needs!
Tara is amazing! She cares for our dog like her own. She truly understands how loved our dog is and keeps us updated with pictures throughout our time away! I know she gives this kind of care to all of her 4 legged friends!!
